New DAR .22

I have settled on what pellet I want to use in my DAR .22 and that is the JSB 15.9 dome. It has given the best performance for me and it also was the best performing pellet in my other air rifles as well.

I now need to re-do my chronograph tests and record results plus construct a range card out to 100 yards. As far as the regulator setting I'll try shooting it down again and note where it is adjusted. Same goes for the hammer spring as I have not touched it at all. When I go hunting I'll re-do the zero to 50 yards.

I took out my bench rest gear to shoot some groups and this DAR .22 is right in the ball park with my competition air rifles.

Sounds like a good plan. And how im going to set mine up as soon as i can get my hands on some 15.9's. Going to run them at 900. Will be a good compromise between power and shot count.

This is what mine is doing after a barrel polish with 18.1s at 40 yards!!! 840 fps. In the cold!

Went for a walk yesterday shooting 14.3 JSBs at about 890...very accurate too! Smacked this squirrel at 59 yards...head shot!

Did I say I love this little gun!!! Lol

Forgot to mention those are 10 shot full mag groups...the one to the left was fresh cleaned barrel with the first couple going left and then settled right in!!!

These big fox squirrels have a season here in Michigan Sep15 to Mar31. But red squirrel's, chipmunks, gophers, and woodchucks are fair game year round!

Weather cleared up so I put 10 shots thru my Beta Chronograph....JSB 15.89 GR Lot No. PY11029. I still have not touched hammer spring and I'm going to leave rifle as it is.

Noise measured by my MK3 Dosimeter 80.3 dba @ muzzle 6' -0" to side.

Hey RJ,

I really like the mods you've made to your DAR ...- slimming down the stock fore arm and also improving its "breathing"/valve characteristics.

I'm planning to buy a DAR in .22cal within the next couple of months and was wondering if you could make the same mods for me. If you're up to it please message me with how much you'd charge for the service. Thanks in advance.
