New Daystate Regal up against the Wildcat.

I have had the FX Wildcat in .25 for about 4 months and I love it. I just had to take the plunge and buy a Daystate Regal when AOA lowered the price. I have had 4 shoot-offs between the 2 (Daystate vs FX) so far. They both love the (surprise) JSB Exacts 25.39 grain so the competition was fair and both guns are 25 cal. They both have the exact same Hawke scope. They were both fired by the same shooter (me). I have a 35 yard range behind my house and I am surrounded by trees so there was very little wind.
The results: They both drill these pellets so close it is almost a virtual tie. After 4 competition shooting an entire magazine each time I have to say the Regal is just ever so slightly more accurate. And I do mean by a whisker, but it's there. These are both incredible guns and I am fortunate to have them both. The next competition will be out at the range for some 50 and 100 yard shooting. I am retired and 73 and just discovered this wonderful sport about 8 month ago. Been a powder burner all my life so an old dog can learn some new tricks. And, yes, my gun case if filling up with air guns.
Aint life grand.

Congrats on two top of the line guns. It would be very interesting to compare curves for Regal in .25 and compare to Wildcat. I love my .22 Regal Huntsman; its tuned to 28 ft/lbs with JSB 18 grain, but with a curve from 830 - 847 - 830 FPS over 35 pellets. Would curve be greater for .25; how many shots do you get per fill? Do you have a chronograph?

Any thoughts on design and ease of use of the two rifles? They are about as different as you can get. I love the classic stock on the Huntsman.

Interesting competition! Thanks for sharing. Congrats on some great rifles!
I do have to wonder if the platforms played into the results at all. Everything in your test is the same except that you're shooting a traditional styled rifle against a bullpup. Well... that and the barrel rifling.
I really don't like reading posts like these. Those Regals look really nice and I've wanted a Daystate for so long that I could very easily be talked into dropping the $$$ on one. ;)
Happy Testing!
