New do air gun nation

It gets a Lotta good reviews but there have been quite a few people that have had problems with the valve poppet Breaking. I’ve never owned one but was thinking about getting one until seeing people having problems. There’s a few other guns in that price range but don’t know exactly what kind of performance and specifications that you’re looking for. Everybody here is going to have different opinions but with a few people having the same opinions.

I have an Avenger in .22cal and I've been happy so far. I don't know if I've been lucky, but I have not had some of the leaking issues, etc. that others have. I do plan to take advice floating around on the forum and fill the gun to a slightly lower pressure (250 Bar instead of the full 300 Bar) to reduce wear & tear on the rifle. I used a hand pump for a while with lower PSI rifles (a Maximus and a Discovery), but I ended up going with an Altaros booster, mainly based on the review thread STO started that is posted here:

I have nothing but great things to say about this booster...I don't need to fill fast, and I fill the gun(s) directly. My next plan is to purchase a tank from Joe Brancato (Air Tanks for Sale), and fill that with this little booster (it will take a while, but again, I don't need it to be fast). If you buy a Harbor Freight oil lube compressor for $200, plus an additional dessicant moisture trap for $50, you end up having an HP air supply for less than $1100 that will probably outlast most of the low priced units from China. The booster pump runs at a lower temperature overall and the real "wear & tear" is on the low pressure compressor, but you control the duty cycle, which will keep the air compressor relatively cool.

Welcome to your new addiction!
