FX New FX DRS Pro, Classic and Sub 12

It’s FX they’re gonna bring something else out to meet our FPE hungry needs.

12fpe guns give great shot count and present challenges that help make you a better shooter. When I lived in the UK shooting at 10-12fpe range made me learn to range and adjust my shots because of the loopier trajectory. If you’re pesting in building or close quarters 12fpe is great and you can be out for hours and not need to fill up.

At the end of the day we are living in a great age with so many options.

If it's like most others, the FAC version will be compromised in being forced to make more power. IMO, if FX is smart, they will develop this as a 12 fpe rifle. They have a catalog of rifles offering the power and bling to satisfy even the most ardent followers of power and "features". Why not (finally) offer a solid, simpler rifle that competes with the traditional world market? The US market will always want bigger, faster, more powerful, often without even knowing what it means. FX has a chance here to show the desirability of a quality rifle of traditional power. I hope that they take advantage of it.
I think you've hit on something, Its sort of like a premium version of the Remington Vought for the UK or sub 12lb market.
If you really wanted one of these FAC, wouldn't you get the Alteros M24 that is more proven, for less money. If I had a dime for every time I read in a thread about about a FX rifle gone wrong, I could afford a FX rifle

Well, all models based on the Panther model (King, etc.) have a plenum, i.e. an air cylinder around the entire length of the barrel, if they don't make a better valve like the M24 or Skout airguns, they basically didn't do anything new and are stuck in the past
If one reads the full description (brochure) in the OP's post it is clearly stated "The 4cc plenum design cleverly disguised as a traditional magazine.........."
That does not sound like a plenum around the barrel to me.

About the stock
It reminds me of a Tarantula

Edward

Artemis M30 already did this.
I agree, SPA/Artemis was the pioneer in this concept but they left out the beautiful stock and side lever.. although I could easily over look those issues, they really lost me on the rifles length at 44 inches!
If SPA offers a carbine length in that model I’d have owned one a long time ago.

So for me it’s the light weight , beautiful, carbine FX has designed that gets my interest!

FX will 100% NOT meet our FPE hungry needs.

The DRS should hit at least 300 FPE to get me interested. Needs a bigger plenum and longer magazine depth.

Partnered with MDT I guess

Oh that is NICE!!!!!!!

Edit: Granted it’s not my style since I want a field target chassis like the aeon chassis I have but still very nice. Doubt it would drop into a Dreamline stock or chassis.

What’s with the fake mag, I really dislike the fact that’s it look like a real gun.

Guns to the Karens are bad enough but making it look like something the 3 letter folks would like to know about is more than I'm interested in.

The MDT is nice, but the chassis alone would be around $1k or more, then add another $1800 or so for the rifle ( being as the panthera is around that much ). Your looking at close to $3k for an airgun that isn't proven yet.

Interested in the rifle for sure, but will be interested to see in a few months how it pans out.

Their chassis are $300 to $1500, still not interested.

For the one similar to what's on the rifle it is $1300. A new chassis like that won't be cheap.

I would expect a price around $2200-2500 honestly. Fx will typically give you quite a bit for the money. And I can't see them going much over the cost of an M3. Though I have over $5k into my match gun alone, so something like this is far cheaper.

Chassis is apparently $1599.
