New FX Impact M3 .22 Regulator Question

Hi All,

New here and new to the PCP Air gun shooting crowd!

I just received my new M3 from Palm Beach Air Guns in Florida. It's a .22 with a 700MM Barrel.

Reading through the manual it says multiple time to leave the 1st Regulator set to the factory pressure setting.

Mine came with these settings

1st Regulator - 170 Bar
2nd Regulator - 100 Bar
Macro Wheel - 16
Micro Roller - 2
Valve Adjuster - Just Over 4 Lines

I've read multiple posts here and other places that the 1st Regulator should be set to 150 Bar.

I don't plan to do any slug shooting. Should I adjust my regulator pressures down?

The rear reg should be around 130 I think my front one is around 150? I’ll have to double check. They should be at factory settings but dealers sometimes mess with them from what it seems. Id call or email Fx they should give you fact. Settings and id adjust from there. That’s basically what I did and I am a pellet shooter. (I really didn’t adjust much either)

I do not have a M3, but I do not think it matters much if it is set to 170, or 150. The main purpose of the first reg, is to relieve some of the workload for the seccond reg at 200+ bar. 170, is still a good margin below that. I have a FX maverick, and actually do not know what the first reg is set at. I just know it is there, and is probably working as it should. As long as the needle on the seccond reg stay at the same position from a full fill, and down to a refill, the system is working as it should.
