afters seeing our own Danish Viking shooting 16 gr. H&N slugs at 870 fps. I never had any good results with them before

Same. I have shot several 1000 of the 13 and 16 grain H&N slugs, and they are not at all as good as the Zan or even KO in the form of the 13 grainers

I got a new STX barrel for my maverick coming, taking it back to the original 600 mm for a pesting rifle, will feed it 10 grain KO MK3 slugs if it will take it.

I could never get the 10 grain knockouts or Zan to shoot in impacts under an inch at 50. 13’s are awesome.

My Uragun shoots the one .177 10 gr slugs just fine
