HW/Weihrauch New gun day, HW30 .177

This is the one he has, and it has the HHR reticle,
hunter hold over. Not sure if they still have this particular one available.

Thanks. Is that an AO scope. If not it's probably got 100 yard parallax and at most magnification wouldn't be clear at Hw30 range. Personally that's more magnification than I like for most anything under 300 yards. I have a 4-12 Airmax on my 97 but I'd be fine with a 3-9

How does the Sightron compare with your Aimax?

Both my Sightrons are S1s but are a little different from each other. Still both Sightrons have better glass and function smoother. The turrets on the Airmax vary widely but are never great. At their best, they tie the worst Sightron turrets that aren't terrible to begin with. Airmax are Chinese built. Sightron are Philippines built. They just feel better built. I'm super impressed with them.

I'm getting away from AO scopes and would be looking hard at the Sightrons I mentioned if they had a different reticle and would stand up to springers. I'm still gonna buy another 3-9x40 Rimfire S1 for my 17HMR Tikka. Hold over isn't necessary with a 2800fps 17gr pill.

I still have a SII 4-16X42 big sky mill dot, and used it on my 97K for years. But the mill dot spacing isn't great for air rifles, and the dots are kinda big. Lately I've been using a 2-7X32 airmax on the 97K, and I like the smaller and lighter profile. Don't know why I'm looking at scopes again..lol, but I am. Who knows I might but one of those SI's, I change my mind every week.😂

I have a couple of Hawke Vantage scopes I'm not using if you decide to go that route. I'll hook you up, but you might have to make a trip down 87 to Sanford to pick it up.
Thanks for the offer, but I have a Vantage and a Airmax, and they're not bad for the money. I'm always looking to upgrade..lol.
