One thing to know, suppressors are built into many air gun designs now and referred to as shrouds. You don't necessarily have to add something at the end. A fully shrouded barrel with an air stripper at the muzzle allows the air to expand backwards into the cavity like for instance on the small Benjamin Marauder 22 pistol which can be fitted with a shoulder stock into a very nice carbine for pesting. Some shrouds even have a tiny air escape hole back near the receiver to vent some air during the shot cycle and reduce exhausted air from the muzzle.
