New Guy from GA asking about the AEA HP Max30

New Guy here trying to get my posts up so I can send someone a message and buy some goodies so let’s hear about the AEA HP SS Max 30. I started diving into the airgun hole and my wallet can’t afford the FX life yet but I’m looking for a little back pack gun I could use for squirrels, rats, fur bearers. And this looks like a perfect fit has anyone put the external regulator on theirs? I’m still learning here so try not to kick me too bad. If I end up liking it and sticking with it I plan on upgrading but for now I’m interested in this one. Currently running a Umarex origin and it gets the job done but looking for something more compact.

@lathem, welcome aboard. It's a nice little gun in its price range. Jsb 44.7 is your friend. If your interest is slugs the barrel is .303 not .300. Nsa has a fantastic .303 slug. The trigger is greatly improved with a good stone job. Not a benchrest gun but great for your intended purpose.

Awesome thanks I’ll check it out.

Thanks for mentioning GA. We are always I interested in growing the number of airgunners in Georgia. Welcome to AGN. It is a great place for help and information.
How far away are you from Monroe County?

Martin
About 2 hours I used to be down there all the time for work and training. We are up in northeast GA, Cleveland area

I have one and once you understand PCP’s, you’ll know why the gun is not regulated. It keeps the gun simple and capable of making big power out of a short barrel. It’s a fairly compact gun until you see what it takes to make it more quiet. Then the gun is full size. I would say most of us that have them already have really good guns. These aren’t horrible guns but more of a novelty item. I definitely don’t volume fun shoot mine. Basically I don’t trust it. But it shoots well when you figure out your max fill and refill numbers.
