Also another question would be if looking at a used PCP what issues should I be aware of that could be an issue? Service life, wear items, etc.

What do y’all think about the FX Maverick VP for what I’m looking for?

Woah now slow down there partner lol. I get it, that springer was horrible and now you want to buy something that won’t have you second guessing whether it’s the gun or the shooter that is off.
Before you spend a mortgage payment on a PCP setup only to find out it’s not for you, I would buy a high end springer like an Air Arms tx200, HW95/97, Walther LGU or Diana 54. At 50 yards and under these springers can be just as accurate as some of the best pcp’s. No doubt you will not be disappointed by the build quality and accuracy of any one of those. You might try one of these and find out it is all you need. If you don’t like it, post it in the AGN classifieds. The way I see it: If you don’t like the springer you sell it, you may take a $100 hit. If you find out PCPs aren’t for you and decide to sell the equipment, you’ll be out hundreds of dollars.
*looks like bubblerboy already beat me to the high end springer recommendation lol. Smart man
This is decent advice, not sure I can kick the PCP bug that has bored itself to my brain though.
Ended up purchasing the Katran BL in .22cal
i appreciate y’all’s help!
