Umarex New Guy With an Airsaber Arrow Question

Soooo I'm new to any form of arrow slinging airgun, have been lurking for a few months gathering information. Chronic neck injury; so now have a Florida Crossbow/Airbow permit. Have an Air Saber enroute, reading up on the use of Easton 2219s (their accuracy is what changed my mind from crossbow to PCP.) Has anyone tried using other crossbow bolts? I have a lot of Carbon Express Pile Driver bolts. Haven't mic'd the ID yet, but eyeballing with a ruler shows probably a little over the ID of a 2219.

All that to ask, has anyone tried using other bolt/arrows with the Air Saber. How tight a fit does the shaft/air tube need?

Thanks in advance.

Just general info:

I have 2 MSA 4500psi 30min tanks being hydro'd
100gr NAP Spitfire Crossbow Mechanical Broadheads
Some form of ebay SCBA fill station
Most likely replace supplied scope with Athlon Talos glass, use em on my powder burning devices.

Well now that I have my Air Saber in hand, I can verify the Carbon Express Pile Drivers do not fit lol
I have been using the EAston 2219 XX75 22inch crossbow arrows in my Airsaber wiyh very good results to 120 yards...3400 psi is max speed with airsaber at 3625psi it is slower first shot. At 3400 psi fill the Eastons are 473 grains with 100 grain broadhead at 405 fps..IF you need anything here to help..

Your posts were the reason I bought the Air Saber vs using my crossbow.

Waiting on the 2219s to arrive. Got a FD buddy willing to fill my out of date (can't be recertified,) tank until my new tank arrives.

What distance do you think you could take a small (Florida) deer? lol

How many shots are you getting out of a 4500psi 45 minute tank?

Thanks again!

For a scope check out UTG 130 BDX Crossbow scope...For fun i shoot out to 120 yards with it...For real hunting use it is real good from 20 to 70 yards..Pretty cheap..Buy adjustable moa airgun rings to setup.. Like on amazon monstram tactical and westhunter make moa adjustable rings cheap like $20.00.. For airguns kinnda nessary..

I have a external regulator that i put on my 45 min scba tank and i set pressure at 3400 psi on Airsaber when i target shoot. So from 4300 psi to 3400 psi 45 min tank probably 40-50 shots ..It use s about half as much air as my .510 Texan..Your deer are pretty small id say to 70 yards with practice...

Thanks!

Probably going to use an Athlon Crissbow scope. I'm a big fan of their glass and warranty. Run their scopes on my hunting powder burners and my Steel Chalkenge pistol. Will run one of their target scopes on my wife's rinfire benchrest build.

Have some NAP Spitfire Crossbow 100gr heads. hope those will fly well.

Any of the crossbow scopes with the calibrated recticle..With a speed of 405 fps it works with all x bow scopes..Im sure the athlon is better..The UTG has a level built inside the scope on the bottom of the glass..it really works good..soo many options these days..Im here if need any help..Good luck good day friend
