HW 50 22 cal fine for squirrels but for raccoons? They can get very big. I know it is possible but would you not want something more powerful?

I have had many break barrels and really don't like the cocking of themIF your just planning on in the yard stuff you might really consider a break barrel HW50 as your first experience , just a gun and pellets and your ready for pests / targets for practice . Very high resale also ,
