Tuning New Huma regulator with a loose screw in the bag?

Maybe it's just me, cause I'm nursing a recent rotator cuff surgery and I'm grumpy. But, if I owned a company, and an employee told a customer that we made a product for them, but we "have not been able" to make instructions for its use, he and I would have a discussion about such an asinine response. I mean really, a 2 sentence explanation is something they are unable to do? Good grief, but maybe I'm wrong, as my wife often suggests.

I'm with you on this one, but my wife also frequently suggests the same as yours.

My wife tells me I'm grumpy all the time, and I haven't had surgery. Sure seems that they could have included a note about the screw in the box. I had no idea if it was a mistake, fell out of the reg in shipping, or needed to be installed. Seems a little lax to just throw a screw in the bag and let you figure it out. Thank god for airgun nation!

Is this the screw that one would replace with a machine screw.;

And then tie some fishlng line to it for pulling out the regulator?

Yes, unless they changed the threads or diameter. In most applications, you can probably reach it with small needle nose pliers.

My Huma reg came with that set screw installed in the reg purchased from AoA. It also came with another screw about an inch long to screw into the reg to make removal easier. I attached a piece of heavy string to the screw and can simply grab the string to pull out the reg. This is illustrated in several videos online for Benjamin Marauder rifles. My reg fills quite slowly but does not adversely affect shooting.
