HW/Weihrauch New HW35E on the way!

UPS about two hours ago delivered my HW35E. Unboxed it and sure enough it's really a dark walnut stock, however I was asked if a dark stock would do and I said ok. I'll surely will grow to love it, and I also shot about a dozen pellets just to get a fell of the action. So far so good. Charles
If too dark for your liking, sand down the stock and hit with lighter stain and use Tru-oil, Tung oil or other finish. Make sure U mask off the checkering.

Well did you get a chance to shoot it much. The HW35E is definitely on my bucket list , so when I see post on it I’m like a dog with a bone

The darker it is the more “Vintage” it looks. Even though you just won’t let us get a peek at it, Congratulations. Lol

@Bear-of-Grayling and @Mycapt65 pic below that I keep forgetting to post. Best guess is it’s red Loctite. Tried to get a small pick in to dig some out but it’s tight and I don’t want to scratch the barrel. Will a heat gun do the trick or better off using a propane torch? The buggered up part of brake is where I tried to tap off with piece of leather between it and large screwdriver. The metal is super soft as you can see. Thanks.

Start with the least aggressive. Heat gun. Torch if necessary.

SpiralGroove your end result is beautiful. Did you do anything with the finger groove besides taping it off?
Nope, just two coats of cheap spray paint and then polished off any overspray outside the groove with mothers mag polish. That way the groove can be filled perfectly.
