Got a new HW77 in Friday night, I had to work Sat morning, so only had a chance for about ten shots before my son and grandson arrived. but at 15 yards it was pretty well factory zeroed at 15 yards. My grandson is staying for the week so not a lot of calm bench time as he likes to shoot, and does not have a good place so am letting him shoot all he wants.
This afternoon and old Anschutz match receiver sight came in via an ebay purchase. I quickly installed it and made what I thought would be crude adjustments to get it on target. I basically aligned the front post in the factory rear notch then adjusted the receiver aperature to that, then took the factory notch off so I would get a better sight picture. Again at 15 yards, using a 50 foot NRA pistol target my first shot cut the #10 out of the ten ring, Fresh target, same poi and a three shot group was about 1/8"
Next plans are to remove the factory front blade and install a globe front with interchangeable insert and a Gehmann adjustable iris in that Anschutz rear sight.
