New HW77

Barrel could be bent. With the sight adjusted left does the center of the Buckhorn align with the the center of the dovetails? If it is maybe it something with the sights. Is the end that the front sight mounts to plum? If it was crooked it would cant the front sight and mess things up. If everything looks right the barrels likely bent or there's a wicked burr on the crown.
Here's a brand new Hw35E I just worked on. It came shooting almost 6" off to left at only ten yards.

You'll figure it out

Wow.. sent out new like that? Well my last 2 getman guns been pretty sad for the money they want to demand. Ive said the r9 i sent back two times it was that bad out of there box . Ive had it like 400+$ and this is what im getting?

AOA has always sent the test target and every gun from AOA has always shot the same when i shot it .
And i have heard that Krale has honored their sales , but i do not buy outside the USA i support my local Stores .
Lol i guess it not like i could not send you one showing how good it is ., Right? It's not like you were there first hand in person when it was shot. ..😉. They could have any one premade up to throw in the box..

Yikes Ron, that does not look right.

Perhaps a tutorial on how to properly bend a barrel? I know, easier said by me than done by you. 👍

I also bought a HW 77 from Krail. The rear sight needs to be adjusted all the way to the right to zero. I sent it back, big mistake. It took nine days to get it back there and then it spent three weeks on Krail’s receiving dock before they even processed it. They looked at it, shot it, said there was nothing wrong with it and sent it back. That was yesterday I haven’t gotten it back yet. I’m not upset to get the same rifle back because it was a fine shooter. Three-quarter inch groups all day long 50 yards with a scope. However I bought this rifle to shoot Irons. My contention is if the sights don’t line up with the Bore axis, the rifle will only attain true zero at one distance. I tried to explain that to Krail but they didn’t understand. Can’t wait to get it back, it was a fine shooter. I will look at all the solutions on this thread to try to make it right myself.

I wouldn't bend anything yet. New guns can take a while to settle down. The gun as a whole has to break in first. I've had loose piston seals and dieseling throw off POI considerably. Get a couple of tins of good soft lead pellets through it first before thinking about bending anything. That's if you can't positively verify bend with a straight edge
Well I am much to impatient to keep shooting hoping the gun would break-in LOL. I cleaned the barrel this morning again and no change in POI so:

I bent the barrel for droop and drift. (Thumper is right, that loooong barrel is easy to adjust ;-)

I centered the scope and took 5 shoots with H&N FTT's

That is a dime size bullseye at 17 yards

I think the crisis is over LOL!

Cheers

Sorry to hear about your plight. If you can zero the rifle at 50 yds it's not terribly off. It's easily adjusted for that little amount. It'll be trickier to not over adjust it, than getting it to move the small amount necessary.

The 35 pictured earlier was almost 6" left at ten yards. That would be almost 30" left at 50 yds. You couldn't hit a std 2' square target backing board if you aimed at the right edge of it. It wasn't even on paper at ten yards.

Anyway you'll need a windless day and at least two targets to check it's lateral zero at a near and far target. The real trick is getting a windless day at a place you have enough room to shoot and the facilities to tweak the barrel.

Good luck to you

There ya go. Easy enough right? Glad ya got it fixed up. Who knows if the gun took a knock in shipping or what.
