New member and airgun noob

That is a sweet gun! I've been spoiled by semi auto firearms, so I can't help but be curious. Is that a desirable feature for one's first PCP? Or are semi auto PCPs hard to get right?
Pay enough money and there are semi/full autos that seem pretty reliable Huben and Western seem to be very popular.

I fall into the other camp. Pay a lot less but plan on spending some *quailty* time with your purchase. I have 5, 4 Hatsan and an AEA. The Invader .25 is now a lever action. I broke it. The Barrage is twitchy about pellets, magazines and moderators. The Bullmaster, until today, had been problem free, now I have it in pieces. The Sortie Tact is a nice cheap pistol/ carbine. Just don't try to put a moderator on it. Very reliable.
The AEA Terminator has been 100% reliable and is a BEAST.

New guy here as well so I’m not going to give advise lol but I will say this forum and all of the people are top notch so far! By far and away one of the best forums I’ve been a part of and I’ve been in a lot of them over the years because I have so many hobbies! Did you end up picking out a pcp yet? Pump? Curious to see what choices you went with

Hi all, I'm Jonas from Texas. I'm just getting into the airgun scene. I grew up shooting on the ranch, but got away from it for years. Now I have a little land I can shoot on, so I thought I'd look into a BB gun to pop mice with. Yes, 3 weeks ago I was about to drop $60 on a Daisy 880. Then the Internet serves up this forum. Mind blown.

Now I want all the PCP bullpups. I know I have to start with one (and a pump of some sort). I'm loving the big bores I'm seeing. I'm not real interested in killing deer, but we do have wild hogs, and I wouldn't mind thinning that little herd out some.

I also like the PCP bullpup small cals. I don't want to hunt small game, but I would like to be able to take care of a nuisance coon or a coyote if I had to. Heck, a smaller big bore would probably be better.

Anyway, I'm deep in the rabbit hole and learning everything I can. I don't want to jump in cheap and waste money while getting a bad taste for the sport. But, I support a whole family on a teacher salary, too, so...I don't want to go wild when I'm not sure how much I'll really get to shoot. Thanks for reading!
Fellow Native Texan here hi Jonas! My umarex notos blew away my expectations. With diablo .22 pellets its a absolute laser at 50 yards fps is 700-800, more than adequate for small game. Shot placement is always key of course.

Theres also the airforce texan SS .457 with the carbon fiber tank if you want to drop anything in north america where it stands. I have one with 9 pills put through it total (Sight in and repeat results+buck). Then 1 pill was a little much for the deer around here so I am looking to sell I will have it in classifieds in the very near future. Unbelieveable power full tank will throw 4 380 grain zan slugs at about 850fps (because of the grain weight) whereever you want them at 100 yards. You can always get lighter projectiles.

Jonas74 Welcome to the AGN. Airgun Enablers, it is like Hotel California here for me. I can come in but never leave. I am president of the local chapter of Airgunners Anonymous or if you are looking up from the rabbit hole, Airanon. Be Well Brother, Bandito. Oh and don't expect normal out of me, never been accused of it!
