Placing myself in your shoes, assuming your still committed to PCP over Springers, I'd determine if a standard rifle or Bullpup design would suit me best. If standard design is preferred, refrain from several popular brands which are long (over 45 inches) and heavy (10 pounds with scope). I'd research the .25 Air Venturi Avenger (Wood stock), .25 DAR Generation 3 and the soon-to-be released .25 Airacuda Max. You could start with a cheap Chinese $50 HPA handpump from eBay, however, many eventually end up with a Yong Heng air compressor. I like badger5th's idea of the CenterPoint scope, I find the optics are a bargain at the price point. I'm impressed with the two 3-9x40AO on my springers. The Airgun Nation archives are a great source of information so do some homework "searches" there. Good Luck, WM
