New Member from Colorado

Hello all,

Been a while since I have dug out the air rifles. I reached for my trusty Beeman Super 12 and discovered it won't hold air. It's an MKI unregulated. I am curious if a tuner can convert it over to the MKII specs and regulate it? I would also like the air tank converted over to an external fill so I don't have to remove it from the gun to top it off.

I have been out of the know for a while now last I knew Allen Zasadny (sp?) was the guy to send the Super 12's too. Any other tuners I should be aware off? I did some research and "Motorhead" pops up a lot. I need 10 post before I can IM someone so there is that. I would like a reasonable turnaround time although cost is a factor. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW: I was very active in the Straighshooters Forum back in the day looks like they don't host a forum anymore.

Best regards,

Welcome to the best place to be ... AGN . Nice looking rifle maybe someone here can give you hints on what you can do with it b4 sending it out ? might just be a stuck valve or new O ring
Haha "Beerthief"

True I haven't tore into it at all. My plan was always to send it to Allen Z to have it tuned/regulated and external fill port added, life just gets in the way of the best laid plans. Being in Colorado I am sure it's just a dried out o-ring causing the operating problem. It's been in the safe for a least 6 years probably longer with zero attention.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome and looking forward to hearing more about your super 12. Always wanted one back in the mid 90's. But I was more into break barrels. Mick.
Mickshooter,

Thanks I really like the Super 12 its my go to gun for dispatching squirrels or birds for my Weimaraner to retrieve. Even used it on some Coyotes that were killing our pets made short work of them. Looking forward to getting it back in the rotation.

I have several spring piston guns to choose from too. Even a few C02 guns.

Best regards,

I was born and raised in Grand Junction my parents and one of my daughters still live there. I now live in Colorado Springs. Do you still keep in touch with Allen Z? Is he still tuning air guns?
AFAIK, he still tunes airguns, but like the rest of us, he's getting old and choosy about his work. Be prepared to wait a long time to get your gun back. Lead times were always long, but now they're really long, like 1-2+ years in some cases. After IL, he moved to Independence, IA, and now I believe is in ID.

All,

Thanks for the information...

I spoke with Allen today the Super12 will be on it's way to him by the weeks end. Internal seal rebuild, adding external fill and converting it over to a regulated gun. It's going to be even better than new! Turn around time wasn't bad but I expect it will be longer than quoted. I just need to be prepared for it to take longer. I have plenty of other guns to shoot until then.

Best regards,
