Hello everyone I finally joined the forum and stopped stalking it lol. Hi my name is Nick Flanagan and I'm addicted to airguns lol. It all started about 10-12 years ago I became obsessed with getting the most out of my .25 marauder and i had alot of fun on the journey. My son at the time was only 4 and when me and his mother split my weekends became all about him and airguns slowly faded out of the picture. Mainly because the only time I could get at range was the weekend. Well fast forward 10 years I'm cleaning out my garage and I have to move my airguns. It hit me like a truck as soon as I opened the case. Belive it or not they all still had a nearly a full charge. So I set up a mini 12 yard range in the yard/garage. i looked at the dope on my scope cap took aim and it was spot on. The gun had a 70 yard zero so there was quite a bit of hold under. I was so happy hahahaha so i called my buddy I used to shoot with and we were off to the range the next weekend but this time with my 14 year old son. My marauder .25 and p-rod were still dead on exactly the way I left them. My son and I had a great day he was shooting my p- rod and it was perfect for him he had blast and was hitting targets out at 100 yards. He wrote everything down and learned how many mils to hold at a lower magnification then i had recorded the guns dope with. I was very impressed. Well that was a few months and a few thousand later. I now have an fx impact m3 .22 with 800mm slug tensioned barrel, slug probe, tungsten hammer, airmarksman 30 moa backbone, saber tactical arca rail, element titan, and a poop ton of slugs lol. We have been going to the range and tinkering as much as we can since. I'm sorry in advance for this post and my future post. Im mechanicaly inclined and great at figuring things out. But as you can see typing and grammar are not my strong suit. I type slow and it reads like English is my second language I'm aware lol. Pictures are my collection and target is from the first time I went to range with the m3. I have some slug groups from the last time I went but i did not lable them at the range and not 100 percent whats was what by the time I got home.

Welcome to the boards. Incredible that the gun held air all those years. I'd hit all the regular lube points with some silicone based oil. The HPA seals are obviously in good shape. Curious where you got your AR style furniture for it. I have a 22 M-rod but I find it a bit bland. regards,
I bought the stock atleast 10 years ago. So the details are alittle blurry but if my memory serves me it's a Tyrex aluminum stock

Welcome! And how sweet that your PCPs held air all those years? And that you were able to enjoy them with your son? Good times for you and your son… Great introduction.
I couldn't believe they were holding air and shooting same poi. After that first weekend ar the range I took everything apart replaced o rings and cleaned and re lubed the marauder and p-rod. The bt-65 .25 I actually bought right before my hiatus and haven't shot it much or taken it apart yet but look forward to digging into it

That's AWESOME! So glad that moving of your airguns rekindled your luv for shooting them with your son and now a suped up M3 slug fire breathing dragon 🐉! Make many more memories with your son!
Thank you I definitely plan on it lots of kids these days don't have any hobbies that get them out and get them thinking. We actually made a pellet trap today a design I found on YouTube. This way we can plink at home whenever we get some time. It came out great just wish I had more space lol

I did a quick Google search, found nothing for them after 2016. Regarding your M-rod holding air perfectly is indicative of there being no water pumped into it. Did you use good water/oil filtration for air filling in the old days when you shot it before? Hand pump/tank/compressor fill?

Great story and nice introduction after being a long time lurker. That's a real testament of the Mrod. Welcome to AGN.
Thank you the Impact is still new and I haven't got to know her yet but if you look at the groups in op the Mrod .25 is really close to the impacts group and my buddy's .22 marauder probly out shot both. I know if I turned the velocity down on the M3 it would out shoot it for sure.

When I 1st purchased the gun in 2012 I took everything apart and polished it changed all original orings to viton ones i definitely polished the inside of the air tube to near mirror finish. Then waxed lubed it. It has only been filled with air from my dive shop. I actually made a youtube channel back then and made a video on it
I have since lost the login info on that YouTube and never tried again

A quick thought came to my mind. Since you just resealed your Mrod and Prod and your M3 is new, I wonder if you were to take another 10 year hiatus, which ones would be just as you've left them? Hmmm.

I see why you didn’t respond.. you’re from Nassau county! Lol. Personally I would never own airguns in Nassau especially in Lynbrook, houses are damn near on top of each other and I’m not aware of any towns that allow you to shoot in your yard. Only good places to shoot are the Uniondale gun range or all the way out in Calverton. Good luck, be careful and I pray you have cool neighbors bud 😬

The way my garage is in can shoot in there and out the back door and get about 12 yards but yea definitely makes me nervous. The back door is like 3 ft away from a 6 ft fence so it's pretty concealed if I close all doors on garage I still have almost 10 yards. I only shoot the p-rod that is tuned pretty mild. But after typing this maybe not the best idea I just needed to scratch the itch. I will check out the one in Uniondale before this all goes to poop

Welcome back! It’s amazing that your PCPs held air for more than a decade! That’s awesome.
Being that your rifles were zeroed to 70 yards I’m going to assume you live upstate or Suffolk county towards the end of Long Island. I grew up in Nassau county and there’s no room for 70 yd shooting lol
I do most of my shooting at the long island shooting range it's a awesome place. They have an airgun range that has about 100 yards +. It's only 15 dollars for the day so I get there at 9 when they open and leave when they close

I hate to be “that guy” but do us all a favor and close the door when you shoot! Last thing we need is a rogue pellet smacking some little girl in the eye as she’s riding her bicycle. We ALL have made/can make mistakes and the possibility of accidental discharge is real, albeit an uncommon occurrence. Become a member at the Uniondale range it’s a helluva lot closer than calverton.

It's all good. Honesty I think I may have needed a voice of reason. DEFINITELY don't need any trouble and accidents do happen. I'm looking for something even more garage/ basement friendly like a 10 pistol. I may just put it on hold till then. Shooting the Prod at 10 yards is going to get old quick... definitely going to check out Uniondale
