New to the group, I have had a Umarex G2 SL .25 for a few months now and it has been great. Already install the Hajimoto 2 stage trigger, carbon bottle with 2200PSI regulator, also have a DonnyFL SUMO moderator. It shoots pretty good and I have no complaints other than of course the size and weight and because of that I am looking for a second AG. This time I have my eyes on the Uragan 2 or 3 Compact with carbon stock in .22 cal.

Just figured I would introduce myself....

Welcome! I have a G2 30 SL compact as well as a U2 700mm and had a U2 compact .22. I only sold it to buy a a U2 compact .177, but by that time the .177 were sold out from Krale 🙃. But it's an amazing platform.

How do you like the U2 compared to the G2? Looks like your G2 has the 2 stage trigger from Hajimoto like mine. How does it compare to the U2 trigger? Love the look of your U2!

That's the old U2 compact I had, thanks! That stock now sits on my 700.

I preffer the U2 platform over the G2, it's lighter, it has a shorter top to bottom frame. The trigger on the U2 is better. My g30 is quieter with he mod than the U2 700mm but that's because the u2 has a bit of ping. The U2 compact I had lowered the reg to 83-84bar and was shooting 15.89 at 800fps and was dead quiet with a shorter donnyfl mod.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you. Gauntlet .25 was my first, as well, but original version. Did trigger mod found on YouTube, replaced "cigar-style" shroud sound reducer with 4 baffles, added larger tank with 2200psi regulator and external HS adjuster. Here she is, all 10.8 pounds and 47 inches, still works though. WM

Here's next PCP, FX Wildcat MK3 .30 Sniper, sent many crows to their just rewards. Platform has since been upgraded to a Maverick/Wildcat bottle hybrid but these tube-fed oldies, but goodies, can still be found at substantial savings. WM

Yeah, had serious crow problem in neighborhood, perfect blind set up in woods behind house but couldn't allow fly-offs to die on neighbor's lawns. JSB 44.75s took fight right out of them. To this day neighbors think bird flu was responsible, who am I to argue? WM

As you have already witnessed, you will meet some of the nicest people in the airgun community here.

Consider the Karma SLS Compact. You will not be disappointed with its feature set and accuracy.

Another awesome platform is the Umarex Notos. You can get the PCP in so many configurations and all are smaller and much lighter than the Gauntlet Platforms.
