Hello everyone. I joined the board today. I hope you all are doing well. I’ve been enjoying PCPs for a while now.
My collection includes a Gen 1 Gauntlet in .22, a Notos, A DAR in .22, a Rainson Edge in .22 and .25, and an Avenger Bullpup gen 1 in .22. I’m thinking of upgrading to a .30 PCP eventually. I hope to learn a lot in this forum. I look forward to all the information you can provide me.
Thank you.

Welcome and how do you like the Rainson Edge. It has been on my list of rifles I'm interested in maybe owning.

Given your list, if you go .30 the Gauntlet Sl30 is good, but like the 1st and 2nd gen, long and heavy. AEA challenger in its many forms. Avenge X is a good choice too just due to its modular nature. There are some good used .30 that come up in the classifieds like FX.

My Evanix Sniper X2 is great but they are rare. My Terminator is an absolute BEAST but again rare. My FX Bobcat is just amazing, one of the greatest rifles ever made, but those that own the brethren Bobcat, Boss or Royale virtually never sell them. Utah Airguns has a new Royale maybe the last new one.

But I can tell you do your research. I like all my .30 and, yeah, pellets cost more but that whack at the target...

I really like the Rainson Edge, it is beast, though. It has some heft. It shoots well and is accurate. I like the power dial if I’m shooting heavier pellets. With 18 grains I’m on medium power shooting dime size groups at 25 yards (that’s the width of my back yard). I got the “Dr. Russ” speacial when they were still available.
