New member looking for benchrest rifle advice

I am looking forward to enjoying this sport and hope to post some winning results.
The big problem I have is the closest registered matches are in Grants Pass OR on Wednesdays I dont mind the 400 mile drive its the mid week that makes it hard. The local matches are what I call “Circus shoots” no real rules. Granted they look fun and there is nothing wrong with that. I want the true competition.
So that will be another thread. “How to start registered matches”

PM'd you some info for benchrest shooting in this part of the world
i also drive to Grants Pass to shoot as does one other shooter from your part of the world
