Hello, I started my Airgun journey a few months ago. I will have to say that I'm totally hooked. I started out with a Daisy 880 just a few months ago and now my collection has grown and I don't think it's going to stop growing. From what I have seen in this forum I'm glad there is a good community behind airguns. Looking forward to enjoying the hobby.

Welcome to AGN @shrekman2017. What drew you to airguns? What type of shooting do you enjoy? Casual plinking? Paper target shooting? Shooting reactive targets? Pesting?
I always wanted an airgun but my parents were under the assumption that I'd "shoot my eye out". Now that I'm past 18 my parents don't really care what I buy with my money. I still live at their house but I'm pretty much confined to the backyard. In the backyard, I usually do some paper punching and plinking. I like to tie some metal cans up on a bar and plink with iron sights.

@shrekman2017 You’re in a good place to learn about airguns. Feel free to take a look around the forums. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of information and photos to satisfy your curiosity.
I'm sure I looked at the forums for airgun answers but never got around to joining the forums until now.

Welcome! Sounds like we have a lot in common in our start, as I was in the same boat as you as a kid - I grew up shooting my friends pellet guns. But the big difference is that I am much older, so when I bought my first airgun as an adult (a Crosman 1322 with removable stock), there was no internet, let alone sites like this, to enable me spending my money. So I lived with the 1322 on it's own for a few decades, and it was not until I had kids of my own to teach safe gun handling to that I even thought about anything different. Now I am well down the rabbit hole . . .

I remember getting my first spring gun, and even though it was a piece of junk cheap Chinese gun, I was amazed at the ease of "one pump, one shot" - had it shot well and hit what I wanted, that might of been it, but no - and now I'm a full on air gun nut!

So welcome again, and ask away with questions. There is a lot to learn just be reading, but sometimes a question will get you there if you can't find it out on your own - it can be hard to even know what to really ask in the beginning . . .

I will never run out of questions. I'm glad there's a place like this where I can consult for anything airgun.

there's one in Florida. It's basically just above Tampa. I always have this dilemma when I say where I'm from. I usually just say Tampa but I figured I would be quirky today.
If you think you might be interested in Fieldtarget, we have a group that shoots monthly at Desoto Airgunners. We’re in Arcadia..check us out online…you’re very welcome to come and shoot with us. John
