Sorry I missed the non conversion part with the holiday cooking yesterday.thank you 6gun!
i will not convert as i told you earlier because i listened to you and others and take advice gladly from you... I will keep the 30cal with the liner it has- it should have 1/23 liner which shines with pellets and with semi heavy slugs and can produce up to 95ftp- that's enough for me, i wont go near that and stay at max 80ftp..
but i need your help and support on how to rebuild my tank.. i have now this crappy aluminum cylinder which holds only 290cc.. i want to change to 700cc carbon tank it is 41cm long so i think it will fit without hitting the donnyfl sumo...
i know i need bottle adapter for 129euro and the 700cc carbon is 360euro- but after spending another 500euro i would have a weapon which shoots 44gr pellet/slug at 900-950ftp x 70 times before refill and that would be sweet.. and i don't want the 480cc carbon bottle because the barrel is to long and with the short and chubby 480cc bottle it sticks out and looks funny- i rather have the longest 700cc carbon bottle to fill in the empty gap left after removing the original, long 290cc aluminum cylinder..
that's why i need to know how long is the original 290cc cylinder- i just ordered my dreamline online yesterday and it will be at least 2 weeks till i have it and can measure anything on it..
can some of you guys who has the dreamline lite with aluminum cylinder tell me how long is the 290cc cylinder?
Can you post a picture of where the air tube meets the action(does it look like mine) ? Some of the newer dreamline guns have the bottle adapter and regulator with plenum and a screw on air tube with identical fittings as the fx bottle adapter. This means you may be able to just purchase a bottle of the dimensions you prefer with the bottle valve installed. Or you can buy a bottle valve and find a Chinese carbon bottle in lots of neat sizes and pick what best fits you. So long as the bottle is m18x1. 5 threads it will be a matter of screwing together parts.
The attached pic covers a few examples.
Top gun has a 360cc ali express cylinder that I converted the aea with. It was a tube gun.
Middle gun is dreamtact compact with (obscured) 300cc bottle.
Bottom gun is my money pit, semi useless slug shooting impact with a 580cc bottle for scale.
The 580 won't fit on my dreamline with the moderator.... Short barrel.
One of the more freeing things I ever did was have lots of large fill bottles and a compressor. I don't really worry about shot count per fill anymore if the gun can shoot at least a full magazine at high power. All 3 can shoot about 30 rounds per fill.
