FX New member- please help with my new fx dreamline lite 30 cal- i have ton of questions but no answers..

but there was a large washer between the original air cylinder and the valve housing which i did not keep when i put my new 700cc bottle with the new bottle adapter and new power plenum

was i supposed to keep it?

i thought the plenum was not using enough threads with this washer as without it so i threw it in the bag..

maybe it should go back on the gun?

There's a couple reasons I can think of it being there. Maybe the plenum has a shoulder that sets up against it? It also adds a tiny amount of volume but I wouldn't over think that. These are only guesses.

you mean the plenum inside the original cylinder- i will look..

plus i might put it back in as it adds the new powerplenum space by a little.

i was just curious if someone knows the exact reason why the washer was there

I do not, but i will lean on the idea that it's there not by accident. Maybe it prevents chewing up an oring with a thread and keeps it on the smooth sealing surface. Not sure. It's complex and I'd have to see and think about the assembly. 1 or two threads won't be a structural deal breaker in my experiences. Especially fine threads like fx tends to use. Like I said don't over think it, if it's together and working id only mess around and degass when an oring leaks.

It looks like part of a sealing surface, personally I'd keep it.
yes- i degassed it and just put it back in since i don't know what its for- i rather leave it in... but it pushes the plenum another thread back so i have more unused threads now..

i put that big washer back in... can you tell me how to use the dual port- the hole is for the pellets and the dual holes with bridge for slugs and pellets or how does it work?

the hole that i want to use goes on the bottom??

which should i use- the single hole or the dual hole with bridge?

Ok friends- i am still fighting with my fx, just waiting for the pellet power kit hoping that it will bring my gun to life..

right now i can not get over 800fps, that must change or i will dump this gun in my shredder, make video of it, drop it on my channel and supply you all with some precious moments..

because i slowly have enough of it!

i took out the hammer and spring and weighed them today- can someone tell me if that sounds about right for the original fx hammer weight- 11gramms?
i also put the spring on the scale but i know that we don't weigh springs, i just did it because i had it in hand..

Correct. Put the window down, the hole goes up. There's a bridge in the middle to prevent projectile tipping.

I'd rather buy it from you than see it shredded 😂 be patient. You will get closer to your goal in time. It's a bummer you have to get crippled stuff but this is the road you have to walk to get around some obstacles.

As you've seen me mention here before. Fx stuff has a learning curve to tune it, especially when you have to reverse 5.5 fpe things. I wouldn't worry about max power per se, but i would worry about initial velocity (and you are). For trajectory reasons. If you can get close to 850 fps and just shoot pellets I think you'll be astounded at what it can do with 45gr jsb. It works out to 72 fpe at the muzzle which is substantial.

i did not buy 30cal to see only 850fps when i watch the guy doing youtube review and showing me that his DL 30cal is doing 950 with 45gr..

and many others too.. so it is doable and i want it too :ROFLMAO:

why do i always have to be the idiot getting the lesser gun..

See if he mentions his reg pressure too.

You probably need a 13.2g hammer weight. The 11g is in the .177s and .22s . I put the 13.2g hammer weight in my .22 Maverick to shoot heavy pellets .

Here's some information that might help. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/fx-hammer-weights.1305975/
thank you!!

this is probably the best option i can get and other great members from here have suggested the spring and the hammer.

and i got both with the huma pellet power kit- there is a stronger spring and 2x hammers- 13.2 and 14.5 and high flow pellet probe

Can you post a pic of the hammers? If they are more like the maverick /wildcat hammer and not like an impact hammer I can make them with brass and press tungsten cores into them at weights not offered commonly. I did this for the pal who was fighting to reach a specific power level too.

this is my hammer- only 11 grams
