"NEW, Never fired!"

Sure a gun might get test fired at the factory BUT it is possible to find a gun that has never been fired beyond that. I think I actually have one. They stopped making this model in 2001 and the gun does not have a mark on it and it had no air in it when I got it. It is absolutely spotless without a mark of any kind on it, so yes there may just be a few out there. I also knew the guy that originally owned it.

so let see i have 3 new in the box S&W m29 bb pistols they have never been fired why who cares i bought them cheap
if you have 3 guns they get fired
if you own 100 well you do the math
i have new Alectos they have never been fired but they have been oiled
i could go on but the fact is some of buy things that are on our list of wants and we have our want and move to the next and after a while we have way too much stuff and then we might sell it
AS NEW NEVER FIRED and then someone else can be the caretaker but until that time mine are mine

Agree with Gene - since it is probably not under warranty, all things being equal I'd rather buy one from somebody said that they used (and cared for) the gun and that it worked well than somebody that said it had never been fires (thus does not know if it even works at the time of sale).

Bottom line, even if true it counts against them in my eyes - but I buy guns to use, not to look at. If I was collecting stuff it might be different.

YES their are gun that have never been shot . I just bought a HW50 new in the box . box was opened just to take pictures . SO i went to the guys house , opened the box and we took the first shots (5) .
The story goes : he ordered a gun and was waiting , while he waited he got antsy and ordered the 50 . The first rifle arrived the day before the HW50 , I ended up with the new never fired HW50 and while i was there bought a PP700SA he wanted to sell .

I've had a couple of guns I bought new and posted new unfired because I hadn't fired them but I sure the maker tested fired so in retrospect I really shouldn't have posted them as unfired same is true for any gun be it a powder burner or air they were all fired, just my 2cents.
do you really think HW test fires every gun they make ?

It depends on the seller. I feel like a well known seller with a lot of great feedback wouldn’t risk their reputation by making claims that aren’t true. That said, there are some sellers on here who ADD value to a gun they’re selling BECAUSE they’ve tickled its trigger for a bit. I’m almost certainly buying (spending a payment for something I sold just as soon as delivery and buyer satisfaction is confirmed) a NIB gun from a seller here, and part of the package is his tune. He’s a retailer sure, but his reputation would likely be the same regardless.
