Brocock/BRK New Offering - Brocock Sonoran .30

A spin off of the Brocock Sahara, the Brocock Sonoran sports a longer 25" barrel (made by SubMOA), same color, .30 caliber, a Huma reg, and has the option to upgrade it with a power tune from AOA for an additional fee. The Sonoran can produce up to 90 FPE, but comes tuned shooting 30 shots at 70 FPE. Starting at a smidge under $1900.

@duchunter007 Perhaps I misunderstood. What did you mean by “…it sure seems like it matches the Sahara”?
Well, the previous member said he hopes it performs like the Sahara, and since they call it the Sonora, I think he was feeling it is different from the Sahara, I was not trying to complicate things. but I get it is a Sahara that is supped up, either way I still want to get one and I have been supper happy with my .25

@duchunter007 Are you good with the 30 shots at 70 fpe or do you think you’ll pay extra to boost it to 60 shots at 90 fpe?

Personally, I would boost it up and put a 700cc bottle on it, I just put a 700 cc bottle on my .25 but have not sat down to run from full to empty on shot count yet, hopefully, this weekend. That will be able to handle shooting coyotes out to 150 yards, and maybe further, if you are comfortable shooting beyond that, I would need more practice to shoot further.

I got one with the tune and ootb it shoots really amazing. Took it out to the range last weekend when it was 30 degrees out. I don't shoot well in the cold and I could tell after being out in the cold for about 3 hours the gun was starting to shoot a little slow too. Regardless - it was one of the best first outings I ever had with an airgun. Packed up about 10 different .30 projectiles and went to the 100 yard range. Was putting near MOA at 100 without worrying about wind holds with 2 or 3 different pellets.

I did get the tune as I'm in the 82-84 fpe range with most projectiles. I don't think I'm getting a full 60 shots at full power, but the efficiency is pretty good for a .30. My Red Wolf is a bit more efficient with air - but it's also a stock platform and not a .25 ported for more juice. I already bumped the bottle up to 700cc for a few more shots anyway.

Either way - I think it's an excellent purchase and I'm very pleased. Makes me excited for more SubMOA drop in barrels and the newer EVOL HPS lineup to come.

@ctshooter That’s a good report. For the price point I was actually wondering how it stacks up next to the Daystate Blackwolf 23”. I don’t compete so I’m not so worried about which brand of barrel a gun has so long as it shoots a couple of various projectile brands and weights consistently and I don’t have to clean it too often.
