I do too and that is true. However I believe the bull shark has a shroud similar to the impact. In fact I believe the bullshark is a p35 copyoh, ive been into airguns since i was a kid, started to get into PCP's about 6 months before I joined this forum and that is when the real party started. I am 10 guns deep, I sold 4 of them and I have another that should be here tomorrow, also looking into getting a bigger Tank...haha
P.s I have stoeger scout mentioned above but they are super loud without a moderator.
What caliber do you have? While I have not heard one in person the reviews all seem to suggest it is pretty quiet compared to other pcps with no moderator. It has a baffled and vented full length shroud so it should be pretty nice.oh, ive been into airguns since i was a kid, started to get into PCP's about 6 months before I joined this forum and that is when the real party started. .22 it's not that quiet. The bullshark is effectively shrouded though. What caliber do you have? Maybe the bullshark is the one I saw that was baffled and vented..22 it's not that quiet. The bullshark is effectively shrouded though.
New Jersey actually makes New York look good, both are states that the Torries never left… States that ‘specialize’ in oppressing the law abiding …Maybe the bullshark is the one I saw that was baffled and vented.
ETA: Not sure you can even own a shrouded air gun in NJ. Seems you guys have some very strict laws.
I have a 22, the shroud is vented only. could possibly try stuffing shroud with some oooo steel wool to maybe quite it down. What caliber do you have? This severely limits power and selection. That's absolutely ridiculousMaybe the bullshark is the one I saw that was baffled and vented.

Isn't there a huge bear problem there and then made it illegal to hunt them. now it's even worse ?New Jersey actually makes New York look good, both are states that the Torries never left… States that ‘specialize’ in oppressing the law abiding …
You can't even pump your own gas. Surprised you're allowed to cook your own food.Isn't there a huge bear problem there and then made it illegal to hunt them. now it's even worse ?
A very American state, New Jersey is… The voters there put up with da nonesense… So? Even adults are treated like children… “You’ll shoot your eye out’ Ho, ho, ho… ‘Christmas Story’ Pathetico…
It's the antithesis of the American idea. Absolutely atrocious nanny state. Notice the states most opposed to personal liberty also happen to be the states most historically corrupted by the mafia and their labor union cronies. Finally,California can point the fingers and laugh at someone.A very American state, New Jersey is… The voters there put up with da nonesense… So? Its going the other way, what is simply needed is ‘courage and conviction’… All the BS state laws? Are Unconstitutional and will, in time, be overturned… Keep the faith… Simply don’t ‘comply’ with unjust, corrupt laws… Persecution is nothing new and doesn’t stand the test of time. It's the antithesis of the American idea. Welcome to the Rabbit Hole® I can't quite tell if you mean nuance or nuisance, both apply. It seems that New Jersey is worse than California. PLEASE don't tell Newsom, he'll try to beat it. I can tell you that the Zbroia Sapsan .22 doesn't need a moderator. BUT it does have its little quirks but not a bad rifle, and it doesn't have a soda straw for a barrel. You won't be shooting 100 yards with it. I can't speak to other guns besides Mavericks and Raptors and they most definitely need Moderators.Lol yaaaa i havent done a internet forum in years. I figured if there is any place to speak freely about guns and get advice it would be here. My passions are hunting and fishing and i pretty much do any and all in those 2 categories. This branch however has a ton of nuisance it seems.
Luckily. Although Atlanta sucks ... Georgia is very very much a free state..Its going the other way, what is simply needed is ‘courage and conviction’… All the BS state laws? Are Unconstitutional and will, in time, be overturned… Keep the faith… Simply don’t ‘comply’ with unjust, corrupt laws… Persecution is nothing new and doesn’t stand the test of time.
Yup, in those ‘nanny states’ my PCP is a weapon of “mass destruction”… Simply pathetic… But to put it back on topic, at the OP, you have a plethora of choices…NJ, NY, CA, WA, MN, IL, and all of the communist states can kiss my rear end
Any chance that's an M25 in a prettier night gown?Wow!
That one BUMPY ride! For friggin AIRGUNS?!?!?
Well. For hunting small an possibly smaller mid sized.. as an entry gun that won´t break either you or the bank?
Know you don´t get ´em all over the US, but they ARE there to be found.. and are certainly imported to Canada.
Hear me out on this.. That there is the Reximex Daystar, in walnut. Point is that it is a Turkish brand alright (which isn´t exactly a good thing from a history POV) but one where they´ve actually gotten their s*it together.
It is a modern design, based on a receiver block. It is very very rugged and simple to the build while still of very good quality compared to all the budget and midrange tier stuff out there.
It hands a 580mm barrel and works off of a 250bar fill already from the getgo.
No, it is NOT regulated but for hunting purposes.. you´ll suffice just fine without. Need be, order a regulator from Huma.. (I say use just as is though).
Design wise, to me at least, it´s one of the better looking pcp´s out there and it does NOT require them 1000$ by a longshot. There will be funds left to pick up a Yong-Heng compressor too. Both of them new.
Trigger assy is fully adjustable. Adjustable cheek piece. A piece of picatinny rail comes with, to be installed so you can put a bipod on it at will. It is so simple to the build that as long as you´re not all thumbs (and you´re obviously not) you´ll have it apart and back together with fresh o-rings in like 30 - 45mins tops.
Here the true deal changer though...
The Daystar (i work on guns, pcp´s incl) HAS to be the easiest pcp out there to soup up there is.
It HAS to be.
Just the "non restricted country" power adjuster valve and turning the hammer spring adjuster all the way in on an otherwise completely stock 25cal =60/44fpe Joules in a heartbeat. Port same 25cal to 5,5-5,6mm and you won´t believe your eyes, you´ll see around the 140J/103fpe mark.
A 22 on 5mm will hand an easy 100J/73fpe.
Seeing the upcoming crop of 22cal hollowpoints, and them just going up n up in weight... them 73 is FAR from bottoming this unit out.
Drawbacks?
Yup. She´s a tall girl. Full length rifle no doubt.
She will be rather noisy, albeit the 580mm of barrel helps to tame the bark a bit. Power is power though and as you´re prohibited using any means of suppression.. it kind of is what it is.
Then..
To essentially just make certain (Not Rex specific by any measure) learn your gun, pick it apart and make sure all screws are tight. It is common they are NOT out of the box. In other words a slow n steady "pick apart and bolt back together to learn" afternoon and you´re done. Hm.. might be an idea with a drop of blue Loctite here n there but that´s it.
Have had a number of Daystars through the door... they´ve all been performers. Absolutely every one of them. Low key, anything but overly expensive.. nothing all that special about them at all really, albeit very good looking in that turkish walnut dress.
They just work.
That, and hand the goods.
Mine there, i´ve modded. Sports a Huma regulator on a home brew slightly larger plenum and due that it´s ported of course. Set with an IR since the pic as i use my pcp´s solely to take care of rats. Set to toss JSB 218"dia flavor Knockout slugs around the 1060 mark and.. it just does. Always. Like a friggin laser.
