New pistol on its way

I love my pcp rifles, but need more. Living in a town that does not permit me to shoot in my back yard, restricts my trigger time. (I know, I need to move and buy some land) A pistol will allow me to shoot in the basement.

I ordered my first air pistol (other than an old one needing rebuilt), a Crosman 1322 and it will be here soon. I plan on adding a slightly longer barrel and a steel breech. I plan on doing the mods myself to learn more about the air gun mechanics and gain a better understanding of tuning and how one component affects another.

I want to keep my cost for the entire build at a minimum. What are your ideas for a scope under $100. Thats not much for a scope, but I have lowered my requirements to keep overall price to a minimum.

10 to 25 yard range target practice

10 yard indoor shooting

Max range would be 50 yards

Can be fixed power, but I like magnification

Will need max eye relief since it is and will stay a pistol

Under $100

Open turrets are a plus but probably not necessary at these limited ranges

All suggestions appreciated

You want a scout scope with intermediate eye relief unless you got gorilla type arms to actually be able use a real long eye relief pistol scope without getting tired.

Man I surely hate to recommend Vortex due to their consistently bad QC issues but theirs is pretty good hope you don't need to keep sending it back for warranty though. There's the cheaper Aim Sports Scout scope under $100 search Google for best price.

That's a 50 mm scope! It is longer than your pistol and a 6x24 power will have a lot of trouble focusing on a 10 yard target at anything higher than the 6x power! I have this exact scope (under the TwoD name) and it is a great cheap scope but it is on my Hatsan AT44 rifle. The scope is almost 16" long! Here is a crappy pic for reference (BTW it is an amazing value in a scope!)

Well I ended up putting the carbine stock on it. I will have to check the scope out when it gets here. If it's too long, I will go with a red dot. Never hurts to have a spare scope around.

Today I installed the 14.5 inch barrel. The steel breech was a super easy install too. Broke a cheap allen wrench off flush with the allen bolt on top of the breech. Ugh!!!

The gun does very well at 18 yards (distance to the feeder that the squirrels are invading). It does 10 shots in dime size groups. Thats plenty good for squirrel head shots.

Just need a moderator adaptor for the barrel so I can install an extra DonnyFL Sumo I had laying around. Then I will move on to upgrading the internals to a flat top. It's a fun little gun to shoot.

Agreed, that short range, a quality red/green dot sight. That's what I use for similar distances...indoors.

Holosun, Trijicon, Delta Point Pro. While not basement (!) bargain prices, they to perform excellently (sharp, crisp dots), GREAT battery life, and most have LONG guarantees. Can be turned way down in brightness for indoors or up for use outdoors with NO loss in dot quality.

I just bought a Trijicon, MRO (green dot) for my new Kalibrgun, Argus 45.

P.s. - I have a Holosun HS507C on my AP16. Perfect size, LONG battery life, sharp dot that will work in very low light or can be turned up for outdoor use.
