New project

Just a note, for what it may be worth -

The Vortex Venom or even better the Razor are much better sights from Vortex.

I wear glasses, the the Razor maintains a more crisp dot, with the Venom being almost as good. Plus they both have slightly wider field of vision than the Viper.

If you want a sight that's even better for the same money, the Holosun HS507K

Or the Holosun HS507C

But you'll have to buy the mount seperate if you need the Weaver/Picatinny rail mount.

I have all of the above, the Holosun is a MUCH better buy all around. Better dot shape, MUCH better battery life (50,000 hours), MUCH tougher in case of a fall. Same/similar guarantee.

My mistake, the Vortex model I have is a Venom, and I agree about the Holosun, I have one of the little 507k modes on my Sig P365 9mm. With my old eyes and cataracts, not yet bad, I like the dot in circle reticule in the Holosun.

The little Vortex is designed for the picatinny rail, so it is simple to use one of the UTG Picatinny to 11mm dovetail adapters. I have a couple of old classic Weaver K2.5 and K3 scopes mounted on a couple of Marlin Mountie rifles using those adapters in some quick detachable Picatinny rings, works great.
