RAW Rapid (new) RAW - HM1000X ... Changing Calibers -> Pellet Probe Removal?

Yes JaxJax - You're Right;),
I took off the stock on the newest version of the HM1000X ..... it also doesn't have a bottom blanking plug?
This makes it more difficult to add additional plenum space to the 30cc OEM platform? Mubhaur's Mod is kaput ..........
I also used the bottom blanking pug to install a regulator testing gauge.

Well, one more new version and Martin's initial creation might be DOA :p.

Large inline plenums are possible with after market stock

Yeah Mubhaur,
I'm going to pass on all the in-line and other plenums for the RAW …. for now.
Unless shooting slugs is critical in .25 calibers or larger.

I've got my "home made plenum" for my .25 cal RAW witch gives me about 50+cc's of space.
I really haven't found the need for a larger plenum in .22 cal. or lower - yet .

Yeah Corny,
If I can get (sub) 1 MOA groups at 50 & MOA @ 100 yards with pellets, there’s not a lot of pressure to switch to slugs …. Which means changing your entire tune.

However, slugs need to be tinkered with for comparison. Because I’m not a competition shooter, I’m just testing myself In MY Airguns world.

Thanks again ;),
-> For modifying my “Best Fittings“ regulator tester to work on HM1000X regulators.

Not sure about saying improvements or progress has been made .......... but the cir-clip holding in the pellet probe doesn't look like anything I've seen.
Hence, didn't want to break on removal, it so I heated up the probe's base and unscrewed the tip/replaced with a .177 tip.

I still much prefer the older style for ease of "working on" and flexibility.
Make sure and apply loctite to the tip or it will rotate and change the bolt lockup.

Hey Cloud,
I would normally say yes, but because I couldn't get all the old loctite out of the base, the .177 caliber tip fit extremely tight.
I had to use two pair of (jaw protected) vise grips to screw the tip far enough down. I would be shocked if it moved w/o vise grips again .
We'll see. The inner tip is already even with the front of probes .... tip w/o pushing the cocking arm forward.

Thats with using a heat gun .? Just asking because thats how I was told to do it. haven't done the loctite version yet but I'm sure it won't be long till I do.
Blue loctite ?

Blue loctite ?
No Jax, ........ used a torch ;).

I took the bolt out of the gun (holding the probe). Clamped it in my wood vise .... heated the probe's base with a torch (blue canister) for maybe 10 seconds.
If the old loctite hadn't been in the way making the .177 cal. tip very tight to screw in, I would've used the blue loctite - not the red.
Even though any loctite will losen if heated with a torch.

Hope that helps🙂.
