New rifle not filling

This issue has been discussed MANY times here re: new guns not filling with a hand pump. Do you know or are you near anyone with a tank? The valve needs a stronger rush of air to keep it filling than the hand pump sometimes supplies. Once it gets broken in the problem should disappear but, initially, you might need that high pressure "push" to open your valve.

Jason,
Good suggestions, so far, try the fill probe alone, hooked up to the hand pump, to verify air flow. If OK likely one-way check valve in gun is jammed, or defective. (Manufacturer may have filled gun originally with a stronger air source than a hand pump forcing the defective one-way valve open.) Add a few drops of silicone oil to end of properly inserted fill probe and let sit overnight. If problem persists, contact Dealer. WM

Just purchased a P-Rod . I shot it enough to be sighted in. Today I went to recharge the gun with my compressor. The gun fills to 2800 psi easily enough but when I purge my fill hose it drains down to 0 to 1000 psi. Any suggestions? I’m thinking the check valve is hung up but I don’t know any tricks to get it unstuck if that’s really the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks!!!

When you bleed it off are you hitting it hard and opening the bleeder sharply? Sometimes if you just barely crack it the check valve doesn't see enough differential pressure to seal. Just a thought..

Rich at Airgun Revisions suggested the same things. I did the silicone in the fill port and dumped the pressure in my fill line more quickly than I normally do. That did the trick!!!

I appreciate everyone making great suggestions and want everyone to know that Rich at Airgun Revisions personally called me on a Saturday night to help out👍

Many thanks to all !
