Today I took my new Beeman Underlever rifle in .22 caliber and love it with it not so great trigger, however it’s getting better with use. Also for the shooting distance I shoot is usually between 12and 20 yards the Beeman scope is just fine. Spent about 2 hours enjoying getting to know the rifle better. A heck of a deal for the money! Never even been close to one, but from YT vids and what not one thing that fails me is the underlever setup because... why?
Look at how "the rest of the world" does it, why this rather peculiar solution by Beeman? Any idea?

Never had a bull pup but I keep thinking it would be a good truck gun and easy to carry. The idea of a bull pup with a biathlon style lever gives me the shivers.

Triggers are pretty easy to fix. Lighter return spring (the one under the trigger). Shorten the linkage rod and adjust the sear. Just those 3 things make the trigger very usable. Message me when and if you want to dive into it. Be glad to walk you through it.

Clean the barrel if you haven't already from the breech end, lube it. Try some AEA pellets, all of my guns LOVE them better than JSB's or anything else.
