HW/Weihrauch New stock for HW98

Hey guys..HW98 Is a great gun and deserves a nice stock I was never a big fan of what ever It Is they put an the grip and fore stock feels more like 80 grit sand paper . Anyway a new custom thumb hole stock on the way should be next Monday . .

My Mike Abernethy HW98. Very smooth and accurate. Shoulders with no effort. It now is topped with Burris 4x Mini.

Just an update on the stock I bought recently . I bought It from AOA used for less than $200 apparently they bought a few from a house sale and was told the stocks were never used , I would love to know the history behind It as the left side was slightly varnished the other side was just stained Matt I guess the guy that made It couldn't make up his mind on what he liked best , no checkering on the stoke anywhere maybe It was an unfinished project , my personnel taste I don't like shinny stocks so I rubbed the shinny side down with 4000 g wet and dry now It looks the same both side . stock fits perfect and shoulders well no scratches or nicks for the $$$ I'm pretty pleased with It .
For now I think Ill be keeping the factory stock If I ever sell the gun It would be nice to have the original stock to go with it .

The new HW98 has a change made in the stock.
The black parts are not there anymore.

Not as nice as behoren I think.

Something has gone over my head. Am I looking at 2 stocks? Is the 1st post a picture of the original stock and the next post by the OP the 2nd stock?

I only see one picture posted by the OP and it is the aftermarket stock he bought. I do not see a picture of the OEM stock in this thread. The other picture I believe you are referring to is a different aftermarket stock that kingfisher61 has his HW98 action in.
