Sorry for the delays! I have (3) different styles that I'm offering:
- Fully knurled
- Partially knurled (polished in the middle where it connects to the lever)
- Grooved & polished
I can make them in virtually any length and diameter, but the knurled option limits the diameters that I can make due to some complicated "timing" issues with the knurling wheels (if the diameter isn't close to being right, it won't produce a diamond pattern). I'm sticking with a diameter that is just under 1/2" for those.
The grooved pattern is pretty cool. The idea behind that was installing o-rings in the grooves for added grip, but I have found this design to be plenty grippy without o-rings! This is an example of some that I just made for my new "BlingVet" build .. the one with the o-rings installed is on a low profile lever mechanism that snugs the lever as close to the rifle as I could get it while remaining "practical"...
Zero issues with performance. I've been testing these handles for a while and they stay put without screwing up the anodization on the factory levers. I use good materials for everything I make and they feel good in the hands. I'm using some Delrin and set screws to hold them firmly in place (I tested some nylon-tipped set screws, but they definitely did not have enough surface contact area to hold them to my personal standards.
Cost, ugh. This is the tough part, I can make them to whatever custom spec that you wanted for 100 shipped TYD (I can probably do two for 175). Rationale for cost - It's taken me at least an hour to make them (lathe, tapping the threads, milling & fitting, and polishing). Materials and tooling are what they are, but I've already destroyed some small (1/16") end mills (cutting out the section that seats on to the factory lever handles so it's nice and seamless), but they're not cheap to replace! So with that said, between PayPal, shipping fees & handling time 1hr round trip to the P.O. here)!
I can start making them after my NRL22 event this coming Saturday, My time is getting limited with projects and going back to work soon, so I'd like to fabricate them sooner than later (can't guarantee my time as I approach the holidays).
