Tubes look way better than the bottles. Guess they listened to the complaints of doing away with the anti double feed and brought it back. Nicely done.

They brought the tube back! About time I start taking a closer look at the Vet II. That is a good looking rifle right there!!

That tube version does look a lot better than the bottle version (AKA Fat Pig). It's good to hear that they brought back the anti double load and a bigger cocking lever. Like someone posted above, I guess they are listening. Is that a CF wrap on the barrel?

Barrels are tensioned via the carbon tube. Lightly is all that seems to be needed.

I guess I just noticed it now and had to go back on Talon Tunes website to verify the Vet2 models.

Mine shows this if you clear the selection: 9.6 lbs14 kg (which does not make sense)

If I choose a caliber it changed to 9.6kg


ETA: And the description says 3800 grams which is ~8.4lbs so who know hahaha

Bottle version = horror to look at for me, even if i brag about being a function over form kind of guy.

It happens a lot with Tony's listings. I think he just copies and pastes, without looking at what he is doing.

The guy has the gun on hand. Putting it on a scale shouldn't take too much effort. Accurate information is important.

The 700 mm version appears to have a nice plenum. When I had an early 550mm it did not. That plenum will bump up the power. says 700mm are poly barrels, 550 are CZ standard. the weight is about 9-9.5 lbs. felt very close to vet 1 in weight, the ADL feature I seriously doubt put any significant additional weight.

Nice! Almost guaranteed they shoot amazing. I hope Taipan comes out with some new models eventually . I’d love to see some lighter weight stuff. The old mutants were almost a pound lighter vs the vets.

The bottle version looks like someone made it in there work shop, Not a factory look at all, UGLY,,
And I am one of the biggest fans of the Taipans, The Mutants were and are the best,

the bottle version looks scary , like if it gets dropped bottle may break off noting supports it but the fitting and it is wide open ,not for me , I wonder if they using cz barrels , I have seen alot of the original ones with non cz barrels but on gun it said CZ , the plenum looks larger then original versions , taipan m has a great trigger and a solid barrel mounting system . PS not sure if anyone knows but the taipan barrels are identical to the edgun R5M
