Is there a difference between eye fatigue and eye friendliness?
I believe this is the same issue as computer eye strain. There are some articles on line.

There is a difference between traditional scope use and digital scope use when it comes to eye strain.

I said on the comments ... it is due to refresh rate of the screen. It will always be a problem for digital screens.
I’m not sure about electronic scopes but in a previous life wearing night vision goggles for hours at a time my eyes would be wrecked. The next day felt like someone had rubbed sand in my eyes.
I never use a scope for "glassing"...I do have night vision optics but I use binoculars for "glassing' and only use the night vision gear if I spot something or see movement.
