I'm very grateful to Paul and his crew at Custom Stocks UK for accomodating my requests. I wanted the CS1000 platform with some changes to the foreend (depth and profile) that would accomodate shooting over the arm as well as over the knee for my particular anatomy and hold. Instead of the flat knee riser section fwd of the trigger guard (standard for the CS1000) I requested approximately 1/2" depth immediately fwd of the guard and to have one straight line angled towards the nose a la Gary Cane's "Grand Prix" FT stocks. Flat foreend full length, edges rounded for comfort. Fwd half of foreend to retain standard CS1000 width (feels great in the relaxed supporting hand for kneelers- I use an extended fwd support for those shots). Stippled, specific LOP.
Weihrauch 97k action with hybrid lightweight piston, Peter Matos custom picatinny riser rail with inbuilt tilt (20 MOA). With the hubble in position the balance seems pretty ideal (so far).
Early early days but stock feels very comfortable not only in the two aforementioned seated positions (butt against my right elbow crease a. over arm b.over knee) but also in a shouldered, over arm position.
More to come. Thanks for looking!
