I'm trying to figure out via photos and the written word some of this Dreamline specific stuff. Increasing power. Which Pellet probes for increased airflow? (pellet and slug probe = huma or pin probe?) I see dual transfer port which seems like a good idea. And then a tuning spring? I'm opting for the .25 and want to be at at least 50 fpe with some air to spare.. FX folks.. please educate me on what these rifles like and don't like if you will?

A stock gun shooting 25gr at 935fps will give you right in the ball park of 50. 48.6, now you really don't need that much for a squirrel. Doesn't take a heck of a lot to get there either so you're not using a lot of air. Just my .02¢ worth.

I’m pretty sure a factory DL will give you the power you seek with a long enough barrel. It will be violent to shoot though as you’ll need high reg pressure, and a good bang from the hammer. Add a power plenum or 2, and it’ll lower your reg pressure enough to soften up the shot cycle. Dual transfer ports and slug/pellet probe will also help keep pressure low. It’s great to have big power, but if you can’t hit the side of a barn at 15yd, it’s all for nothing!

Slug probe and pin probe are the same and do the same thing made by Huma-air. If you're buying new, all FX airguns come with dual transfer ports. Pellet port on one side and dual-port on the other side. Huma makes an aftermarket hammer spring that does slightly increase power.
So you are saying that the dual transfer ports for sale are an upgrade for older Dreamlines as the new ones come with a high flow trxfr port with a bridge in the middle, stock? And sounds like the pin and slug probes are exactly the same amount of flow..

Huma sells 2 styles of probe. The pin probe is for sslugs only, the pellet/slug probe is similar to the factory, with a larger air passage to increase flow, and yes, all new fx rifles come factory with dual transfer ports on the barrels.

Do you know if they are high flow as well ? I can't seem to find an image of the fx factory transfer port.

Slightly is an understatement, actually an overstatement. Put in a HUMA probe in my .22, no change, put in the HUMA spring no change, nothing. I'm just curious what each thing will do with a baseline to start.

It's out there, just a much larger slot with with a support down the middle. From 935 to about 980, with 107 on the rear reg. Huma Probe and Huma heavy spring, neither did diddly on the pellet side. As an FYI, when I rotated the barrel, my poi went UP about 15" at 30 yards. Guessing i've got a bent barrel.

I’m curious - what are you shooting at that requires >50fpe what is the target goal ? Because form necessarily follows function. As for poi changes remember more speed does not necessarily improve accuracy, in fact you can destabilize your pellet or slug being too fast or too slow

The dreamline stock I’m sure will give you 50 fpe. I have it’s predecessor the streamline and it will do 50 fpe. Just remember if you get a tube version of the gun running it at that power will kill your shot count.
I do have a cf tank just sitting and am not sure about the aeron foregrip..Looks like it comes off to make room. But I haven't touched the thing yet as it isn't here yet.. Goal was to eventually get a bottle conversion for shot count when I have the extra cash for the drop down conversion.

i can hit steel at 100 yds all day with a <20 ft pd .177 just using holdover and adjusting for wind but steel doesn't care how hard you hit it. What size steel does matter because sub MOA at 100 yards takes some special equipment.
It's not just hitting steel. I can do that with no sound as well.. Steel cares what you hit it with. Been shooting steel with other stuff for a long time. I like to shoot steel and hear it. Not trying for sub moa at that distance of course.
