HW/Weihrauch New to me ~1975 HW35 Luxus

Also check where that chisel point of that " scrapes" the receiver tube face for a galling or cutting a grove and where it latched/ locks it in place for a indentation from all the closing shut of the barrel..
The gun looks basically brand new with the stock off. Everything is well lubed and there is hardly and wear marks on the contact surfaces. This gun has been very well taken care of. That being said, holding additional pressure rearward on the latch with my thumb does get rid of some of that wiggle, but not all of it. If I bring the barrel all the way up and then set it at the bottom of the wiggle it is consistent though.

@MDriskill I found one of your old posts about your 1973 HW35. My assumption that my latch was modified appears to be incorrect. I assumed because it wasn't blued that it had been reshaped some but it appears yours looks very similar to mine. @Hateful McNasty may have hit it on the nose about the spring being worn. I removed the stock and the block that holds the latch looks perfectly fine.
Correct, the rotating breech lock on the HW 55 works completely differently from the sliding thumb bolt on the HW 35. Rather more complex, but can be adjusted for tightness.
