New to pcp, help choosing

Hello everyone.

I decided to get into the pcp world like 2 weeks ago and i really liked it.

I will say what i like doing with pcps so you guys hopefully can help me choosing the right gun. i would like a gun thats powerful, consistent and cheap. I like shooting long targets like 200 ~ 300 yards. I saw the hatsan Hercules, old version not the bully for something like $600. My uncle told me to stay away from hatsan guns cuz its a bad quality he says. He has the Gunpower stealth its light and simple I get it but its not powerful and its 200 bar didn’t seem good to me and its so expensive here in my country, he got it for 1400 USD, besides, its a single shot

note: biggest caliber here in the country is .22 . If I can get 40 shots at 1000fps with 25gr pellets with spread of 20-50. I will be so freaking happy.

Other questions: whats the difference between cc and bar/psi? I would appreciate details in-depth, excuse my stupidity

Are pellets with higher grains more accurate for long ranges?

I will never forget your help. Thanks

You may be asking a lot shooting .22 pellets at those speeds and especially 200 to 300 yards. You may be better off trying slugs with better ballistic coefficients (BC). Heavier projectiles seem to buck the wind better at longer ranges. A CC ( cubic centimeter) is a volume measurement (air capacity) and Bar/PSI are used for Air Pressure measurements. I don't think there is anything out there that fits your requirements that is cheap. This hobby can be very costly. Hopefully someone else from the AGN community can suggest a rifle that will meet your needs if one exists, but IMO you are asking a lot

Do you also want it to shoot sub-moa at that distance? Let me ponder on this. I'll get back to you later.

Good that you have an interest in PCPs but your "requirements" are pretty high.

I suggest that you go to the airgun vendors websites and look at their most expensive rifles and check out their performance figures. Then check reviews on done by experienced reviewers (not casual owners - AEAC https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOJCcOBvMhUlYBpP8uaR78w is one of the many good professional ones) to see how well the rifles you are curious about actually work and listen to the comments on their features. Once you have a good perspective you can start searching for the rifle (or rifles more likely) that suit your needs and your budget.

Don't forget that in addition to the rifle and pellets you will need a source of HPA for the gun.

You can get a great many recommendations by posting for help but these people are happy with their choice because it suits their needs... maybe not what suits you. Best that you do some research and then ask your questions and I am sure you will get a lot of help here on this forum.

Good luck with your choice ...and welcome to the "dark side"!

Cheers!
