When the shipping update emails say that the gun, moderator, rings, and scope have all happened to arrive on the same day...that means it's time to leave work early.

Been wanting one for awhile. Daystate Hunstman Revere in .22 with Element Helix 4-16x44 FFP

I had asked my closest Daystate dealer in the next state over to let me know when he got one in that had a particularly nice stock. Got the call a few days ago. He sent pics and I sent money.

Got the scope on and leveled (Element does not make this easy with their not-so-flat turret caps), screwed on the mod, loaded the mag and away we went. Gave a rough zero and then cycled a few mags with just plinking on steel to lead the barrel a bit. Then ran a few hole-on-hole groups at 20 and 30, and one 6-shot ragged hole at 40yds with a slight breeze. Without any particular effort on my end. Pic below is the last group at 40.

Quite impressed to say the least. After dealing with FX guns for awhile (which I still love) it's very refreshing to just be able to take a gun and shoot it and have the pellets land exactly where they are supposed to land, without all the fussing around with tunes, and knobs, and wheels, and chronys, and having a set of hex keys sitting on the bench next to you at all times. I like this gun. Out of the box, 890fps with Hades, right at 28fpe which is my sweet spot for pesting, hole-on-hole, and I didn't have to do a damn thing to achieve that. It's a winner in my book.

Yep, FX and Daystate, two different products and two different business models. The old FX Boss/Royale platform yields the kind of results you see with the Revere. I have a Revere, and a Royale 400, and they are both great rifles. The newer FX stuff is a different product for a different market, and not me. Maybe I'm wrong, my wife says so.

I share your opinion about no fuss. I received mine about a week ago. Safari, unregulated 22cal. Sweet handling comfortable rifle. It may replace my Evanix AR6K at the front door for yard pesting. I also have a FX Panthera Hunter Compact 22cal and an AEA Varmint 22cal making 57fpe. But the Huntsman is absolutely the Sundy go to meeting gun.

Bill and Addi.

There is something about the simplicity and sophistication of the unregged revere in .177. Just reminds me of a gentlemen's rifle. Much like a 28 gauge over under shotgun. Every time I shoot my .177 it just seems I am not worthy as I am not a pinkies up kind of guy. Makes you feel a class above.

Exactly why i do not own FX . Stan in KY

You guys that own them seem to prefer the unregulated version. Curious if there was are issues with the regulated version?
I've been on the fence about buying a revere or an FX Crown for my youngest as his first PCP is the reason I ask. Thanks.
It has got to the point that people think Regulated is the only way to go, but a good unregulated gun is excellent too and has it's advantages.

Mine is regulated. It was a requirement for me, and is pretty much a requirement for any new airgun that I purchase these days. Personal choice. But I do see the value in unregulated for people who want that.

There are several Revere reviews on YouTube that show full shot strings from both regulated and unregulated models. And the performance characteristics and shot counts for both. There are pros and cons for both. People can watch those and do their own analysis to figure out which would be better suited for them if they are in the market for a Revere.

60 shots from 200 bar down to 150 bar with only a 20 fps swing up and down on the curve for my none regulated one. I will take that shot count and consistency over extra orings and a hogher working pressure any day. That is with .177 10.3 grs starting at 870-880.
Is that the max fill pressure on an unregulated Revere?
