New truck gun suggestions

Was looking to add a little carbine to my collection. Was leaning towards the prod. But wondering if I should try out the new Notos. Or hatsan jet. For a little truck gun/swing out the back porch door for little critter getter type gun just seeing if any of yas had suggestions one way or another or a different direction. Thanks In advance and merry Christmas!

Budget? If you have one the AEA stuff can make a good higher powered small airgun that's cheap. Would choose it over Hatsan all day.

If you don't have a budget, there are a lot of good options out there, a Leshiy Classic is probably the perfect truck gun, IMO... Drop a nice pistol red dot and surefire light on it, and you're good to go.

I have a prod, love it and it works great as a truck gun. But it hardly gets used at all since I got a Impact compact. Yes I worry about knocking around the impact, and it's alot heavier but it also easily doubles effective range or more. In fact I now have 2 compacts, 1 in .22 and 1 in .25.
Haven't shot the prod in months but I don't think it's going anywhere either.

All good mentions above. A lot of it is going to come down to what feels best when you shoulder it, etc. Not sure if the reliability and quality of the Notos or Hatsan. AEAs are decent but you’ll most likely mod them because their QC is poor on their lower end pcps. Although it’s more of an investment, I would suggest the We The Plinker Package from AoA with the BRK Atomic, Scope, Bag, etc. and call it a day. This way you have a nicely outfitted, reliable system and a quality dealer who stands behind it.

I agree with @Gr8Recreation, though the test below were extreme. It shows that an Atomic or Ranger XR are capable of handling the rigors of a truck or ATV. And get it done without drama, just depends on the size of the critters you’re after. Good luc.

If you can budget it, the borcock atomic or the ranger XR would be "THE" choice of choices. Plus, judging from Dana's video, if you run out of ammo you can use it as a club.

I struggled over the PRod for a carry around and truck gun. Just was not enough gun for my application. About a year ago I purchased an AEA 25 Carbine. It is an excellent truck rifle and carry gun. Well built and accurate, trigger is only issue and polishing or shooting does a lot for that. Magazines work well but do break. Mine is a good 75 yard shooter. Slings 29.5 gr pellets at 880fps for 30 rounds. I shoot this gun daily and have over 4k rounds through it with no noticeable wear.

I used a crosman 2250B for years as a truck gun.. (it's a co2 rifle for those that have never seen one) it worked out great. ( And it was cheap if it was to get stolen) Back then there wasn't any pcp compact stuff just carbine rifles..
Now a days I use my RTI compact as my truck gun and I always take it on the SXS when out on the farm. Handy little rig..

Benjamin Akela, can be had inexpensive and are real solid shooters. That is where mines going. They are built well and plenty quite with no moderator.

Gamo Urban. Not that expensive, BSA Barrel, One hole group accurate, simple to operate, not pellet peculiar. I know its ugly with the pickle on the end but it just is a great shooter. I have killed more tree rats with mine than any other air rifle It's my grab and go rifle and don't mine if it gets a ding in the plastic stock or gets dirty. It's ugly, smells bad, but it has a heart of gold, LOL.
