Gamo new Urban 22 leaking from the start

After a great deal of thought picked up an Urban .22. First range trip had a dickens of a time pumping it up, and got okay results at 20 yds. However, by the next day the tank was completely empty. After a few months I decided to see if there's a leak I can fix. I do a lot of work on my rifles and pistols, so I'm comfortable with that, but it this not kind of unusual for a new air rifle? (And yes, I should have sent it back for warranty work, but stuff got in the way...)
I did notice that this thing seems to be 50% O-rings (which makes sense of course, but it seems like every part has a corresponding O-ring).
I’m wondering if the discoloration on the internal brass cylinder (attached pictures) is normal? It’s also a bit rough, as if some sort of dirt accumulated inside, but as noted this was a brand-new gun, and filled only the one time.

According to the exploded view I'm working from this is either a quickfill brush, or quickfill bush?

If you get too much moisture in their the brass will tarnish much quicker. May need to get a small oil/water filter for the pump if you are pumping in super humid weather. There is a technique to pumping and you can fill to pretty high pressures without much effort. More body weight and less arms straight down pushing when pressures get high.

On both leaky urbans ive worked on the leak each time was in the same spot- front gage area. There is a check valve/spring and each time I’ve accessed this area there was never any type of lube in there, just bone dry. After applying some fresh silicone grease to the check valve piston and spring the leaks would go away.

Lastly, even though the Gun is new, don’t discount the pressure gage as being faulty. It happens.
If you contact Gamo and give them proof of your purchase date they’ll send you the o rings for that front area, or so I’ve been told.

I am assuming that is the front piece from the air cylinder that the fill port assembly is part of? Have you determined that is where the leak is coming from? If so that is an easy area to fix. Like stated above try lubing that little internal oring with silicone grease and see if it goes away. Rather than hunting down oring sizes I ordered a reseal kit off eBay for mine. They come from over seas as gamo USA is nearly useless but will all be the correct size. Much less headache to me.

Tried an o-ring box from Amazon, but nothing was right diameter and gauge, so just greased the originals and reassembled. I'll take it up to pressure and see if it holds now. Hand pump is out for me in future, however... Either a compressor or tank going forward.

Assuming I don't get rid of it, working on the internals is a nice way to familiarize oneself with a tool.

My inner brass parts of my Gamo was a lil worse than yours. The leak is still there but not as bad as before being taken apart ,lightly sanded and cleaned and most definitely lubed up with 100% silicone grease. Waiting on new Oring now to hopefully fix it for good.
Just ordered a compressor. I guess I'm keeping the Urban.

I managed to pump up a little pressure into the tank before my back gave out. We'll see if it's still there in the morning.

You are lucky enough to be able to take what looks like the valve out.
I had an Urban which had the valve screws impossible to remove and it was leaking from around the valve.
I had to sell it at half price because of that.

I hope you were not fooled by the Urban part since it's so loud that it should have been called the Gamo Rural.
The Gamo Rural can only be shot far away from the ears of civilization, and certainly nowhere in an urban area.

Also try your best to make sure the hole with the probe and the hole inside the fill port is lined up as much as possible.

I am tempted to remove the ‘suppressor’, which doesn’t seem to fill any useful purpose. I didn’t do enough research on that particular feature.

I have heard that their urban is loud from several members, strange, i own 3 of them and all are quiet.
