New YH Compressor.

Well, I'm glad I bought the 3 year warranty. After only 3 gentle uses, It will barely produce 1500 psi. Never got hot, treated it like a Baby, and Poof! Maybe I'm just not cut out for PCP's? LOL Any Guesses what it could Be? No strange sounds, no leaks. Scratchin my head.
They suck I rebuilt mine 10 times in over 3 years..I over it lol

If you have an air dryer on the front end that goes a long way! Dessicant or refrigerated?
Desiccant, It's an old AIr Techniques dental system, Mfgr. claims dry to -150 F dewpoint and 10 micron filtration as well. I put a male 1/4" QD and just plug a 5-10 PSI regulated air line from my system to El Cheapo. My big gold filter is 100% dry after a bottle fill, no moisture whatsoever when I blow down the pump. Clean and dry air is a very good thing. I live in SW Washington state, wet place. It's a downright deluge this week.

Oh ya I couldn't imagine how much water you can recover from pnw air. I'm in the deserts all the way down the coast and still get an ounce of water on an 66cf scba refill.

Yup, I'm running the Ingersoll Rand full synthetic in El Cheapo. My big stainless steel laundry sink helps keep the water cool, gotta make sure the drain don't leak, ran the pump dry for 1-2 minutes last night. No issues, I think it is a touch quieter and smoother with the IR oil. So far so good, I did find EL Cheapo being sold on Ebay, about 250 same price as real deal Yong Heng. Temu had mine for 150 with a discount coupon, Temu does not have more.
If you live where air conditioning is a necessity? Your HPA pump should get A/C too, it will help a lot with water.

I'm curious. What part of your Yong Heng has been failing that causes you to rebuild it so many times?

stovepipe
Top end piston. mostly..I've had 2 new yong heng pistons break ..They are whay they are. I can keep it going but with the price of pistons now $35.00 for a few scba tank refills ..Its not really worth it...

I am seeing absolutely zero evidence of oil nor water from my pure Chinesium Yong Heng clone, I checked my big gold filter after filling my 4.5 liter bottle twice and doing several gun fills. The filter media is 100% pristine and new with an hour or two of run time on it. I started with synthetic compressor oil, changed that out and oil was very dark almost black. I suspect the bearings are Polymer. I switched to Ingersoll-Rand synthetic oil they double the warranty on their compressors if their synthetic oil is used. I've not ever been disappointed by an IR product. So far so good with El Cheapo my 150 buck PCP compressor. Yes, shipping included.
same here did a few add ons to my Yong Heng zero water zero oil keep the temps below 130 you won't burn the oil.
I fill 2 18 cu ft omega buddy tanks from empty it takes 33 min 3000 to 4500 12-13 min
bigger tanks it will probably do in 1/2 cycles.

good to hear it was a simple fix..

Mine was a piston, 2 rods, then I got my mics out and compared 2 units I had. The piston and rod eater had a short primary cylinder so the deck height was wrong. I assembled all my good components and gave the fabricobbled mess to somebody who needed a compressor after I replaced the stage 2 ring(s)

Curious what it cost you to get over it? Seems the CS 4 would be a step up if you get a good one..other than lower flow. I did order a spare complete piston and rings for $12 for whenever but real curious how these "measure" up to my old thumper. Being a 3k guy, I can always fall back on dive shop refills of the past 10 years. Would love to wake up in a world of cheap 7k nitrogen bottle/regs...

As you get older? Just be happy to wake up, period! That is assuming you get any sleep at all. It's weird in my 20-30s 7-8 hrs sleep always, come my 40's and I was down to 5 hours, 60's now is less than that. I figure by the time I am 90 I will need no sleep at all. Seems logical anyway. Perhaps our body prepares for the big dirt nap. :)

Cs4 was the next model I burned up. I really liked it too. 😅
