Newbie-My dad gave me a Beeman R10. Value??

Im hoping for help.

Please see attached pics. Could anyone give a ballpark estimate of this hardly used Beeman R10. There is a Bushnell scope on it as well.

Thanks

Brad

It’s kind of hard to place a value on something we can’t see. Yes, it may be almost unused, but from what I can make out from your photographs, it looks like it might need a little cleaning up. Of course, more photographs might show a pristine example, I don’t know.

One thing I can tell you is that your scope is not really worth much. It’s an old Bushnell .22 rimfire rifle scope not known for having high quality optics. They were cheap then, and they’re cheap now.

And if I can offer a little advice, forget the value. Your father gave it to you and should you sell it, some day you’ll wish you had it back.

In my honest opinion it's probably worth more than you would get.

Most people want FFP illuminated scopes nowadays but if it says Made In Japan on the bottom, it's going to be better than most $600 or less scopes available today. I personally won't sell my Japanese Bushnell's for what they go for. The glass in both is way better than the SWFA SS's or Hawke's I have.

I didn’t see anywhere that he said he wanted to sell it. Maybe he’s just curious about the value. Without seeing better photos of the condition I would guesstimate value in the mid $300’s. I don’t think the scope will add much to the overall value though. I have a mid 80s Beeman R10 in .20 that I bought when I was a teen. One of the first nice things that I bought by myself with my own money. I still have it all these years later. A member here just recently rebuilt it for me and brought it back to “full form”.

I've got a Beeman R10D in .20 and I've owned it for well over 30 years. It's one springer that I'll never get rid of and I've had to replace the spring at least twice. I bought my R10 D right about the same time they were they sold here in the states and I've hunted and killed more squirrels with this springer than you can imagine. Clean it up a little and have it tuned by someone that know what they're doing in bringing this relic back to life. I'm into pcps big time and because of my age, I find it much easier and comforting playing with them, even though one may leak and that's normal with all things considered.
