FX Newest Official FX DRS Video

Well it looks like we have a drag race lined up. Who will get theirs first from whom. I know I still have a long wait but I look forward to what guys think when they receive theirs. I won’t be pimping mine with any of their extras until I determine it a worthy keeper. Even then I’m ok with the shot count of the one I ordered and the dovetail. I just got a 500mm .22 so I don’t think I’ll be shooting far enough to warrant a MOA base.

I ended up having to swap the AMP regulator for a Huma-Air regulator and lost that adjustability. It's been tuned to where I need/want if ever since I installed the Huma regulator and I haven't messed with it since. I'm still very happy with the Dreamline Classic, but really like the smooth lines of the DRS!

Please educate me!
Why would switching over from a Dreamline oem FX AMP regulator, to a aftermarket Huma regulator, loose the ability for adjustment?
Is the Huma regulator adjustable?

I love the simplicity. No reg gauge , no exposed knobs , perfect
I agree!
Step 1: Pick your favorite pellet.
Step 2: Adjust once for that particular pellet.
Step 3: Add scope.
Done!

Im glad to see FX getting back to basics.
The trend for "extremely adjustable, long range, slug shooting models" must be great for those type of people.
I, on the other hand, simply desire a quality built, simple, and most of all, accurate pellet gun.
I believe this one, might be perfect!

How ya's all going ? I'm in Australia,a fitter, turner / engineer ,an like building my own toys, im on to PCP's now, an hav a few questions hopefully you wouldn't mind educating me . I'm thinking, if I replace the burst disks with bigger number's, will that increase the output and the input? Of course with all heavier duty components, but is that essentially correct , I can do it ? Because I can't find any 6000psi output regulators to buy out there ? Thanks heaps if you can answer this , don't worry I'm experienced and just want to make a better weapon than what's out there , certainly much more powerful . I'll keep you posted k. I'm retired now and love building and improving things.

Replacing burst disks, those are a safety feature and wanting to mess with those make me question your claimed educational pedigreed.
The burst disk are there to blow before something bigger blow up, and create a all together more dangerous situation.

Also not too much in the way of affordable compressors that will let you pump past 300 BAR / 4500 PSI

In old school rifles you shoot directly from what ever pressure in your tank, but today many are regulated and you shoot off a regulated pressure in your so called plenum ( smaller volume of air )
Also it dont really matter if you make something that can shoot at 2000 FPS, CUZ i am not aware of any ammo that will fly at those speeds, ATM most things work well between 600 FPS or so and up to just before super sonic speeds around 1100 FPS, though probably slower.

I tried to shoot stuff ( slugs ) at 1050 FPS in my .177 rifle, but not good, going down th 960 FPS was much much better for accuracy and group size.

I should have said the Huma-Air regulator is not externally adjustable like the AMP regulator. On the Classic you had to remove the stock to adjust the AMP regulator, you have to remove the stock, degass the airgun and disassemble the air cylinder to get access to the Huma-Air Regulator. So, in my mind, It's not adjustable in the sense the AMP Regulator was. I just set it, installed it and haven't messed with it since. I have no need to, it's shooting great now!

FWIW, UAG said yesterday that the Classics come with picatinny rail installed. Also, the Classics are in stock and they are waiting on fill probes to arrive.
That's crazy! Why would FX ship a bunch of airguns with no way to fill them? Seems like a mix up in the packing and shipping department if they come with the Picatinny Rail (toted as an option since it was announced) but no fill probe! It's going to be interesting to see what folks actually receive from the various vendors and if there's any consistency with what was sent from FX.

That indeed sound crazy, and affirming my feeling from last week that this is a rush job.
Well hopefully there will be no other drama. Getting a little tired of the drama surrounding new higher end airguns. Bad regs, bad valves, weak valve pins and so on. The whole probe thing is a bit strange but doesn’t surprise me. Maybe the guns were done and it was better to get them on the ship because a shipment of probes when they got done is nothing.

Are you saying that the synthetic Classic version, come standard with a Picatinny rail, via UAG?
FX's advertisement suggest that walnut Classic model comes with a DOVETAIL, with the option for a Picatinny.
Youtube videos mention that the PRO model comes standard with a Picatinny.
Perhaps the less expensive synthetic version of the Classic, if purchased via UAG, comes standard with a picatinny rail?
I doubt it, but you never know!
I talked to UAG Tuesday morning (03-05-2024) , and Zac mentioned that the 1st shipment that UAG had received, had already been sold/shipped out to customers that had pre-ordered. I failed to ask how many. No mention of a lack of probes. No mention of included picatinny rails either.

I wish you had asked how many were in that first shipment that have already been sent to customers. There has not been one mention here of anyone receiving one and nothing new posted to YT by anyone here n the U.S. You'd think if they had a bunch that were shipped to customers last week, at least one of them would have been to an AGN member and they would have posted that they received it, and I'm pretty sure they would have mentioned if it was missing a fill probe or included a free Picatinny rail!
