NIB Beeeman 397 Nickel (what’s it worth)?

I don’t know anything about these, this is a Vintage 397 Nickel that appears to be new in the box. What is something like that worth?

........the special s397 benji - not to be confused with the new model 397s (for all black syth stock) . yours looks great , man ! they made a few more rare s392 benjis too (.22) . about the same time they made the really rare 397c (carbine with rocker safety like sheridan) . i never could get $200 for the 2-3 benji s397 rifles i had and sold (more like $170) , but i would price your specimen at $200 or maybe $220 ... ......o.... and beeman DID sell benjamin and sheridan air rifles - they were in beeman catologs from the 90's i think. this silver benjamin is more rare than a sheridan silver streak and causes folks to think they made .177 sheridans. these era of pumpers made in the benjamin, sterling, sheridan days are a bit more powerful but look different . more well made and accurate than current models where safety is on trigger guard. the most recent s397 i sold had the silencer adaptor, and a good pistol scope mouted up on the barrel - out of the way . shot 840 fps after some tuning . think i got $250 on it . the benji model 87 is the most costly i have seen. $500-600 . it was a special made 342 action in a stock like this , made for their 100 yr anniv in 1987. this was a psuedo model 87 - got the as new stock from gunbro . https://www.facebook.com/northtexasairgunrepair/photos/a.1533436316902599/1773433752902853/?type=3&theater

K, I saw your 50 yard Crown groups in that 100 yard thread, and it looks like you're within 1/8" of your 1/2" goal. You'll get there Bud.

FWIW, my airgun-accuracy Holy Grail for a few YEARS was a (single) 1/4" c-t-c five-shot group at 50 yards before I finally achieved it. Many years later I can count on one hand how many times I've duplicated that feat. Also FWIW, very few air rifles I've tested have averaged 1/2" five shot groups at 50 yards over several consecutive groups. Among those were more than one .22 FX Tarantula, a .20 Theoben Rapid, and a .177 Shin Sung Career 707.

My current Holy Grail is 1" average five-shot groups at 100 yards (over at least five consecutive groups). Best averages I've gotten so far are about 1.20"; and that last little 1/4" seems SOOO close; yet SOOO FAR!

BTW, this is THE best group I've ever achieved with an airgun in decades of testing hundreds of all kinds. My Charlie-Freer-anointed .25 Kalibrgun Cricket shot this .15" c-t-c five-shot group at 60 yards with 33.95 JSB's at 915 FPS; that translates to less than 1/4 minute-of-angle. I have little doubt I'll never achieve a better airgun group; but when I get tired of trying...

I'll know I'm dead!
