Nielsen Specialty Ammo-BEWARE!!!

If the ammo had the mm diameter in the description it would read the same as your gun - 7.62mm. .300" is the same as 7.62 mm - exactly To convert 7.62 mm to inches you divide by 25.4 mm and it gives you .300 inches. You claim you would have purchased the same same size as your gun indicates which is 7.62 mm so it would have made no difference if I had mm in the description or not because I would call out the diameter as 7.62mm. You purchased slugs the same exact diameter your gun has written on the side of it.

Perhaps if you think you have been wronged you are attacking the wrong end of the size issue. If you claim the gun's 7.62 mm inscription is the size slug you should purchase for your gun, perhaps it is the manufacturer you should take issue with.

Based on the gun's inscription you purchased the same size it says -7.62 mm which is also .300". So if you buy ammo the size they indicate and it does not fit that sounds more like an issue with the manufacturer giving you wrong specs printed on the rifle.

If you hire a contractor who tells you to buy a door and gives you the specs of what to order, and when the door comes in (made to the ordered size) and it does not fit, is that the fault of the guy who sold the door? Or the contractor giving you the the wrong specs? The door guy did not sell a door for your house, he sold a door made to its given dimensions. If it does not fit the door provider did nothing wrong, you would need to take that up with the contractor who gave you bad information.

I am guy selling the door in this example. You received what you ordered. Not made for your gun - made to a dimension and advertised as a dimension.

Really sounds like the buyer needs to pay extra for direct signature, or just have it delivered to the post office and go pick it up. I have had orders from Amazon that they delivered to the wrong address, Amazon does not even try to find the shipment, they just send me another one, which I find insane. I would not hesitate to order 400-500 slugs. If only I knew what my V3 would shoot.

Once you figure it out let Mr Nielsen know it shoots well so he can recommend it to others with the same gun. I'll have a V3 in .30 soon and need to find out what slug length will fit the magazine.

Nielsen Specialty Ammo - been ordering from them for about 2 years directly. Never had an issue with orders or delivery. What's more, the ammo is very consistent, performs well and I've been more than willing to recommend their products to anyone I know.

Sorry about your experience with shipping.

Fwiw, I once had Ups say they delivered an 800 dollar air tank setup to my home. I launched a request with the shipping company and they floundered and never resolved a thing.

It turns out the driver delivered it to my neighbor. My neighbor about 1/8th a mile away being a mouse didn't say anything or contact me even though I have had them over for beers and grill outs. My outdoor camera footage showed them walk up to my property @ 2am 10 days later and leave it on my driveway. Not sure what that was all about. Just glad I got my delivery.

I wouldn't doubt the delivery worker made a mistake given my experience.

Whether you are right or wrong on this issue, I think it is wrong for you, mmoscarma, to use this forum to try to publicly strongarm a vendor to your will.

I also think is was wrong of neilsenammo to respond to this on an open forum. You obviously felt that you needed to respond to it but if you have thousands of satisfied customers, as many of the comments here have shown, you didn't need to prove anything and it would have been more professional if you didn't.

Both of you are guilty of handling this childishly and should have handled this dirty laundry privately.

I've had stuff delivered by UPS,1. barrel on a 2800 air rifle sticking out of the double boxed package, 2. Box containing the action and barrel crushed and retaped. 3. Action and barrel thrown around so much that the trigger was bent all to hell and ups didn't pay for the damages. Fedex..had a table delivered, broke, corner of the box crushed and driver told me he had to deliver it broke like it was...told me to make a claim. Now I only use USPS and have never had a package destroyed or not make it to them or me using USPS Priority. My experiences with ups and FedEx is they both suck...and good luck getting a claim settled, even if you have insurance...and USPS is always cheaper and gets there faster.
